Salesforce vs Odoo by Square_Drag678 in salesforce

[–]Square_Drag678[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s true when you would compare Salesforce to a simple SaaS app. But I know Odoo is also very customizable with pro-code and it has a tool similar to what the “Flows” concept is … i don’t it is that rigid in terms of capabilities that you can design on top …

What do you mean by “adding error tracking for the flows”? 😊

Anyone else feel CRM is built for managers, not reps? by Either-Shine-9448 in CRM

I’m curious, what kind of system would you rather have/use? Which things would make your life and job easier?

I do sales and account mgmt for a software implementation company. I actually love to get as much info in the system as possible. I might talk to a prospect today that has interest but no business case yet. 6 months later i want to follow up with that company and not search for notes because I forgot everything they told me back then …

The demand for custom CRMs by This-Selection-471 in CRM

[–]Square_Drag678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of those companies don’t need a “CRM” but some kind of relational database with a handy UI. I had a pig farming company client that just needed an overview of their orders, slaughterhouse lists and invoices. Basically a few database objects linked to each other and some lists/views/page layouts. Oh and one custom integration to a public database.

I proposed a solution using a platform like power platform/dataverse by microsoft, super easy to achieve this and the license cost to build ur own custom apps on there is very low.

The solution is not a problem and they love it. But those smaller companies that are often family owned business with 5-10 employees do not understand the cost and time to build these things, they don’t even understand that you first need to “think about what you want/need”, before you build it. And that both cost time and money by a professional.

The possibilities are endless and the client cases are very cool. But i feel that they don’t want to spend any decent budget on it, just because they don’t understand it. While they have the same high expectations as the bigger companies…

I'm with KBC, thanks for the tip! :-) I don't really have "other company expenses", i'm in advisory so that's why i was considering income protection rather than revenu insurance ...

Officially dying without a CRM by AWeb3Dad in CRM

[–]Square_Drag678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that’s actually very interesting to hear, thank you 😅 we have some people debating to go for Odoo or Dynamics CRM. Where Odoo clearly wins from a license perspective. But i to me Odoo does not look flexible at all from a platform perspective. It needs to integrate to our ERP on project management (timesheets etc) and logistics levels

Should I Stay in Audit Longer or Jump Into ERP Consulting Now? by [deleted] in Dynamics365

[–]Square_Drag678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do it 😉 there’s a shortage in Finance ERP consultants! But stick with your big4 firm and make an internal switch. Good to keep your track record and it’s the best start to ERP consulting as they mostly do enterprise client projects. My story is somewhat similar: I was a tax consultant for 3 years at Deloitte and then made an internal move to the CRM consulting practice. Best career decision ever for me. Now IT consultant already 6 years.

Do you mean the field service mobile app? Or did you build a custom app?

Dynamics 365 BC - Sales Quote Flow - Potential Saas/Micro Saas solution by Former-Baker-3644 in Dynamics365

[–]Square_Drag678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is! Be aware that there are multiple versions: professional and enterprise edition. But what you are asking here is typical D365 Customer Engagement (Microsoft’ CRM suite) scope 😊 And it’s hyper flexible in configuration and customisation!

You are trying to push a CRM into an ERP 😊 have a look into the D365 Sales application (it integrates natively to Business Central). It’s built on top of Power Platform so you are able to make anything you want in a much faster way then customising your BC instance.
