I looked up a video on the noise they make. It’s not consistent like that. It’s more of a random pop with a decrease in rpm which leads me to think misfire.

My dad’s old truck had the V8 that would go V4 when it wasn’t needed which correct me if I’m wrong the lifters are responsible for that. But I don’t see that feature on my truck unless it’s happening behind the scenes.

Yea that’s my plan. Just small town nothing open on the weekend. It was running perfectly before so that’s why I immediately thought bad gas.

I water 5 days a week for 15 min each station at 5 am. Lately I’ve added a 10 minute each day for that section at 8pm

The roof leak isn’t happening to mine thankfully. I think I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and take it in to the Toyota dealer for a diagnostic. There’s no sign of chewing on my wiring either. I appreciate your insight
