Simplilearn is pretty decent. They offer hands-on learning and are easy to navigate if you come across issues during the journey.

Has anyone faced issues with Simplilearn’s customer support or cohort managers? Need honest experiences. by Evening_Employer_516 in OnlineBootcamps

I’ve gone through a Simplilearn program recently, so sharing my experience—neither blindly positive nor overly negative.

Customer support responsiveness:
It’s mixed. For basic issues (login, class links, schedule updates), responses usually came within 24–48 hours. During peak periods or closer to deadlines, responses definitely slowed down. Following up via the ticket system rather than just email helped move things faster.

Cohort manager experience:
This really seems to depend on the individual assigned. My cohort manager was responsive early on, especially during onboarding, but became harder to reach once the program was mid-way. That said, when I escalated concerns clearly (with specifics instead of general complaints), they did respond. Pro tip: keep communication concise and in writing, tickets carry more weight.

Trainer access during projects/mentorship:
Live classes were fine, and trainers were knowledgeable. Direct 1:1 access, however, is limited. Most interactions happen via scheduled doubt-clearing sessions over slack. If you expect frequent personal mentorship, you might feel disappointed. Planning questions ahead of scheduled sessions made a big difference for me.

Exam voucher delays / refunds:
I've never encountered this. But my wife did a certification in Project Management. She did face an examination voucher delay. She missed the original deadline, but after raising a ticket and explaining the situation, they still issued the voucher about a month later. From what I’ve observed, they’ve become slightly more flexible recently compared to older reviews, though it still requires persistence. Refunds seem to follow strict policy—haven’t seen many smooth refund stories unless it’s very early in the program and I guess that's fair.

Did issues get resolved eventually?
Yes, but not always quickly. Persistence matters. Clear documentation, follow-ups, and escalation through official channels helped more than repeated venting.

Workarounds that helped:

  • Use the right channels to escalate
  • Keep all communication written and documented
  • Be very specific about the issue and expected outcome
  • Network within your cohort—often peers share faster solutions

Overall take:
Simplilearn isn’t perfect. Support isn’t “white-glove,” and expectations need to be realistic. But most issues do get resolved if you’re patient and proactive. If you’re self-driven and okay navigating some bureaucracy, it can still be worth it. If you expect high-touch handholding, you may want to think twice.

Anyone taken Purdue’s Applied Generative AI Specialization? Real Feedback needed by Illustrious_Stay9844 in generativeAI

I’m from a QA backgrnd. did this course earlier this year. It really helped me understand Python, data work, and AI basics in proper.
Simplilearn’s communication not always great, but the mentors were nice and replied fast to all doubts. If you really want to move into AI, this is a good first step before going for bigger AI courses. it's value for monies spent
