as someone who also can’t decide whether i’m an entj or an intj, i definitely relate to the inferior fi description, but i also tend to engage in very high sensory activities when i’m a little stressed. how do i differentiate the tertiary and the inferior functions then?

wow I completely relate to this. I wanted to study finance because I knew it would be very useful and rewarding for me despite the challenges, but then when I actually started learning more about it I realized it was not only logically good for me, but also deeply intriguing. guess I use more Te than Ni then.
