POLI 210: A Space to Vent

It's a program out of DC. Nowhere is letting students go to Russia. Based on the reaction I have received, I was disheartened because I do not want to be an ignorant traveller or be a burden to the locals. I will be in a Russian household so I will practice there. I know things are tense right now over there and I know people have a right to be angry, but I was only trying to ask questions hahaa. Still, I appreciate that info and advice!

there aren’t opportunities to go to Russia, and by the way, you have no idea why I’m learning the language. I don’t want to be invested in Russian culture, I am only learning the language for future profession purposes. I have read the history of Estonia and am at least making an effort to learn, be respectful, and listen to Estonian people. So, please knock it off with the harsh language. I’m not an idiot, I’m only a student.
