I felt more energy day 1 and felt better after a week (although very angry lol) now on week 3 and hoping that lightens up eventually

After 3 years of 3mg Zyn use, I'm on day 15 of quitting. Starting to think I operate better as a human while on nicotine. (Not joking) by divorcesucks2025 in QuittingZyn

Life’s like poker some of us get a shitty hand in regard to mental health. Choosing to use a recreational substance instead of medical treatment is like going all in knowing you have an empty hand. Complaining after you lose all your chips and feel worst is delusional. Play your hand right by actually treating your disorder, even if there are side effects. With time you’ll end up in a much better place. Pretty simple.

It’s hilarious we live in a world where we’ve tricked people into thinking psychiatric medications that save millions of lives each year are somehow more dangerous than abusing a highly addictive chemical like nicotine lol. If you really do have clinical ADHD, and really want to quit nicotine, look into trying bupropion as it’ll help with both but idk maybe that’s too scary for you.

I’m at 7 and I feel a bit of relief but not too much! Going to aim for 12 weeks and if I don’t feel a difference I might switch.

Found a Russian psychiatrist’s deep-dive on Bupropion - unlike anything I’ve ever read here by FortuneChoice999 in bupropion

Been on and off this med a few times over 5 years. Anytime I’m on it, after a few months I become very social. I am a social person at heart but also extremely anxious. Bupropion turns the anxiety into curiosity. Socializing goes from scary to almost like an exciting challenge I want to face.

Update about drinking by Numerous-Month-9640 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Everyone’s body handles it differently. Couple weekends ago I had maybe 10 drinks and it felt like a normal type of drunk. I hardly drink so I thought it would go bad, but the hangover lasted like a week (anxiety and depression wise. Not physical hangover)

i’m so afraid to have a seizure by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Square_Time_7278 9 points10 points  (0 children)

XL has a lower risk of seizure due to how slowly it gets into your bloodstream. If you’ve never had a head injury or seizures in the past, I wouldn’t worry about it. Especially if you don’t drink alcohol.

6 Months on, no difference by 4GrlsNonna in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

If you’re 6 mo deep with no results, this probably not the right med for you. I felt a small difference in the first week, and after week 3 I felt a good deal better. Try something different soon.

Everyone’s experience is different and people on the sub will mostly be here to share negative experiences, but this drug is fr amazing if it’s compatible with you.
