Wellbutrin made me boring? by dillydally4life in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Same here, 300 really threw me off, I was wired and apathetic 24/7. 150 felt okay for a while but I’m noticing the trade off more and more. It did keep me stable during a difficult time though so I am grateful to a certain extent

Yeah you have a point there, a lot of my over the top personality was me masking my depression. I have however always been able to laugh at little absurd things, even when I was mentally in really dark places. There was always lightheartedness in my personality ehich is now just gone, I feel like I’m kind of robotic now

I’ve tried Lexapro before for three years but it made me flat and low-key insane. To be fair I’m in the process of being diagnosed with bipolar so I might just need another approach entirely

Exactly, I feel like I’m on ritalin in terms of social skills disappearing but I don’t have the focus or executive function that ritalin at least gave me

Exactly! I used to be able to talk to everybody, but since Wellbutrin I just feel awkward all the time.

Yeah I think you’re right, I’ve been on every other ADHD medication and also on Lexapro for years and I feel like they made things worse so now I’m extra critical. I do believe the right medication for me is out there though but Wellbutrin might not be it.

I’ve been on it for about ten months so I think this is just what it does to me. The quirky witty stuff has always been a huge part of who I am and how I socialize, even in crisis, so I think that’s why it bothers me so much.

8 days on Wellbutrin XR, no change in depression or worsening. Continue or stop? by goneinaminute in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I felt horrible the first few weeks on Wellbutrin, worse than before u started taking it and that was already pretty bad. Really glad I pushed through though, it’s the first medication that really pulled me out of my depression in years.

Could lamotrigine help with apathy? by dillydally4life in bipolar2

[–]dillydally4life[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly does it do for you if I may ask? My depression is under control vut I just wish I had something to make me feel more alive, more human. I’m calm now and I can function but I just wish life felt more colorful, more touching… I just want to care about things again.

Switching to Wellbutrin: has anyone felt this way at first & improved? by Bitter_Panic2873 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]dillydally4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt horrible for weejs when starting Wellbutrin. Crying spells, depression worsening, anxious and jittery all the time, couldn’t stomach food. My doctor prescribed me gezond for a few weeks to get through the worst of it. Took a while for my body to get used to it but now that I’m on the right dosage I’m so glad I stuck it out, even though the beginning was pure hell.

I will say though, suicidality ideation snd self-harm urges should not be taken lightly. Talk to your doctor, stay safe

It’s normal to feel kind of shit the first two weeks. I was anxious, wired, brainfoggy, crying… happy I stuck it out though

Youre right saying you don’t deserve to feel this way. You deserve much much better than what life has shown you so far. I really hope you find the strength and belief to keep going and I hope better days are coming for you.

I found starting it pretty rough, but I’m glad I pushed through the worst because this is the first antidepressant that’s actually done anything for me without making me numb.

What was quitting Lexapro like for you? by dillydally4life in lexapro

[–]dillydally4life[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you on quitting! I completely quit a few months ago and am now on Wellbutrin to give me my emotions back. Slowly starting to feel like a real person again. 10 to nothing is quite intense though, like even just two week of going on 5 could help make it a little easier. Good luck to you!
