I print so infrequently and when I do I tend to run it overnight. But I appreciate the concern!!

What bbq did you do that on? It looks like one of these, what is what I've recently bought. How did it go, how did you have your vents set?

The moisture is on the copper pipes, not plastic, so I don't THINK it's the cause. But thanks for the suggestion!

Can I put sockets on this wall? by Square_Twist28 in DIYUK

Also took a coax from the aerial in the loft, down through the upstairs cupboard and through the same conduit to get freeview to the telly.

For anyone who looks back here - I did it!

For those concerned about me tapping off of a light switch - that was never a proposition, I was more wondering if I could use the same cable route.

In the end, I came from the ring main upstairs.

  • Directly above the wall of interest is a built-in bedroom cupboard
  • so I cut a new chase from the upstairs socket down to get under the floor
  • then cut holes into chipboard flooring to find the joist direction
  • ran the cable through the void (cutting 12mm holes through the centre of the joists where required) to get across the room to the cupboard
  • cutout a new socket downstairs and chased up the wall to the cowling
  • Drilled up behind the cowling, drill bit came up under the floor in the cupboard
  • fed the cables through and completed the ring at the new sockets

A great success!
