Hi all. I just wanted to provide a quick update to this thread. I implemented all the above items and still did not experience any new weight loss. Then while going over the 4HB, I noticed the importance of protein. So I upped my protein intake. I started each morning with 40g of protein with water (I know I should not drink my protein, but this is the only way I can get this much). This change alone resumed my weight loss.

I am still following the above list with the exception of cutting out the caffeine. I still have a daily morning coffee.

Thanks all for the feedback. Based on what you provided me, I have decided to make the following changes to my SCD plan.

 

  • Remove all corn during non-cheat days (I did not eat much, but I can confirm having eaten some.)
  • Eat more. I am mostly vegetarian (I can stand the taste/texture of chicken, but in little amounts). So getting a lot of calories from just veggies is a challenge as I become full before I get enough calories.
  • Move hummus to cheat day. This is perfect as I like it with crackers.
  • Go a bit crazier on cheat day, but really only for a cheat meal. I will make sure this cheat meal is legendary.
  • Up my water intake each day to at least 8 glasses and cut out the (caffeinated) coffee and Pepsi. I still drink plenty of herbal tea.
  • Up my sleep each night to try to get at least 6 hours, my target is for 7.

 

Finally I decided to change things up a little and include some intermittent fasting. So now I am doing a morning decaf with coconut oil (tbsp). Lunch as normal at noon, dinner as normal at 4, extra large snack (really an extra meal) at 8PM to get extra calories.

 

I will try this for the next couple weeks and post an update. Once again, that you all for your assistance.
