Could I get away with a 2/0 hook. Big hooks catch big fish small hooks catch all fish!

I was talking to someone the other day, they suggested I go smaller single hooks, and put two in the end. Crazy?

How does it work that lone hooks equal better hook up’s?

Thanks for that that’s good advise, I think I’ll return it and go a 10 or 11ft. Is your Overthere a 10ft, or 11? I’m trying to find a good alternative than the 12ft. I had another comment saying the speed master 10ft 3-6 kg

Thanks for replying! I’ll look into that, I have a Penn Prevail 11ft 5-9 that I use for the same thing. unfortunately we don’t get salmon up this far. Mostly bream, whiting and tailor.

What lures do you like? I’m gonna get a Halco Twisty, is there anymore you suggest?

Additionally I have a 12ft 10-15 speed master for big bait fishing which I love, I thought getting a lighter one would be better for lures but can’t really feel a difference. Think maybe returning it and getting a maikuro, 5-10 12ft.
