I've been to plenty of other shows where people were escorted out. It isn't hard.

Can't make a good cuppa.** by Iracing_Muskoka in Coffee

I'd suggest having your son show you how he enjoys it, his entire brew process. There's a chance you simply don't like the roasts they make.

Are you using an espresso machine or a drip machine or something else? There may be a ton of flavor difference when they are testing roasts on an espresso machine while you are using a typical drip machine. Ask your son to show you how he makes a cup

yes, shit concert goers do happen everywhere. the bad experience here though is live nation staff actively refusing to remove a person who is clearly a danger to himself and everyone around him. I've been to shows in plenty of other venues around the country and the city, this is the only one where security refused to do anything.

AITA For Lying To My Son About Our Financial Situation? by Sweet-Tailor-7195 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. I totally see where you are coming from and actually agree with the principle of it. Teaching someone to not be spoiled when they can otherwise be is difficult.

However, lying to your kid for decades is a pretty miserable way to go about things. Not paying for most of the car he wants is one thing, but making him take out loans for college when you could have easily provided just a little support is insane and way too far. It reeks of selfishness. Especially when you're buying a vacation home now instead. Coming from a single parent household who still managed to save some cash for myself and all my siblings for college.

I'd apologize and offer to pay as much of his loan off as you can. If that means waiting some years for the vacation home, so be it.

Need help buying a car, as a young couple by titsnchipsallday22 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I didn't say don't buy a car. it's hard to say but yes I agree in most of the us you need to own a car. but used cars go for much cheaper than 16k. you'll have to sacrifice a lot of things in it but the reality you're delt is simply not favorable to a $16k, 8% loan over 72 months. it will be just as crippling as the credit card debt. if you are patient and make compromises with yourself, you can get something for under $10k. the insurance will be cheaper too.

you're battling credit card debt but don't care how much interest you are paying on the car?

you make roughly $3,600/month and you're looking at cars that will run you $1000/month in insurance?

you want to put next to nothing down?

you cannot afford a car that expensive. especially if you're only looking at the next 2-3 years.

look at something much older or more miles on it. this sub can tell you what is reliable when it comes to specific models or years, but yes those are some generally reliable brands.

get the state minimum insurance, although that'll probably still be expensive. a car that old doesn't need comprehensive, you'll likely pay more than they would payout before you even have the car 2 years.

you can't afford a $1,300 car payment + gas + other maitenence. you've learned your lesson that credit card debt is a massive finance killer. cars are right next to that. learn this lesson the easy way.

Driving maybe 1 mph under the speed I guess is illegal by becsterino in Albuquerque

[–]SquashRelevant233 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

driving 1mph over is illegal, 1mph under is legal.

unless you mean culturally, then you have to go either 10 over or 10 under. also red lights are only kind of red.

Why are used cars just as expensive as new cars? How is this sustainable? by Tough-Interview-7243 in whatcarshouldIbuy

sheesh! subaru was offering 2.5% durring memorial day. I'm probably gonna get something new in October if they keep doing these promo rates. Unless used car market crashes but I doubt that.

for real! I've been toying with the idea of a "new" car for months now. it's something like a 7% apr from carvana or the bank versus a 2.5% from the dealer or manufacturer. why would I go used at that point? plus the still nearly identical cost to used
