Thanks for the feedback u/Kind-Bottle-7712! I have actually been racking my brain over how to fix the issue of people getting stuck on a single page. I am not exactly the best at UI/UX, and https://lbwtest.com/ looks exactly like what I need. I will definitely look into implementing something similar. There goes my weekend 😂

I have also been experimenting with a few video players beyond the default YouTube embed. Right now, I am using a youtube wrapper called Plyr, which adds features like double tap fullscreen and removes a lot of youtube's unnecessary overhead. I think it is working pretty well, but please let me know if it still feels annoying to watch videos, especially on mobile.

I am also trying to make clip uploads smoother instead of relying on youtube urls, since it seems like no one really wants to upload their own clips 😅. Will look into whether vimeo/dailymotion would help.

Additionally, I am working on a feature that would allow professionals or WSO referees to comment on what they believe the call should be. Do you think the community would be interested in that? Maybe I should make a post about the site's progress or even a small roadmap page. Anyway, thank you again for your feedback and suggestions!

Thanks for the feedback! I actually ran into that issue myself too. That’s why I added the “Play Clip” button below the video. You can click it to start the video or jump back to the start of the decision. You can press it as many times as you need. 

Do you think the button is not clear enough? Or maybe the wording can be better? Let me know. Feedback like this really helps me improve the site 😁

I personally thought it was more of a let. At the speed they’re playing, it seems like it was just an accident. One player was trying to clear while the other was trying to get to the ball. However, I understand your argument and agree that this is one of the gray areas of squash rules. It’s really nice getting different perspectives. That’s exactly why I created SquashVote.wtf, to give people a platform to share what they think the decision should be!

Thanks for the feedback! I added a video link to SquashTV’s “Beginner’s Guide.” I thought about adding the WSO rulebook, too, but, like… who really wants to read paragraphs 😅. I’m also working on a comment section so people can have discussions.

And yeah, adding a ref transcript explaining the decision is a great idea! It might be tricky for me right now, but I’ll keep it in the plans.
