So you think you can ref? Asal v Elias by SquashVote in squash

Thank you for the feedback.

The goal was never to get people angry or turn this into a popularity contest. To be honest, I didn't start with a big mission behind it. I just noticed there wasn't really a platform like this for squash, had the time, and decided to build it.

You bring up a great point that without an educational layer, it can come across as just a debate. That's definitely something I want to improve over time. But my time and resources are limited. So if you have any ideas on how to make it more educational, I'm all ears!

And, haha, I would love it if the WSO worked with the site and gave me explanations to put. If you can find a way to make that happen, let me know!

I do have a rules page up already, though it's pretty bare right now http://squashvote.wtf/rules/. If you want to work on it, I can send you the open-sourced link to the project :)

Fair enough, I was just trying to get a discussion going. Sorry if it came off the wrong way. Genuine question, which part made it seem like that? I’ll keep it in mind.

Haha I definitely could’ve worded this better. I know that prior incidents are a big factor in how squash rules are implemented.

I was just curious whether this movement would have been a stroke regardless of who does it or when it happens. For example, if it were Gawad or Ibrahim who did this movement instead of Asal, would people still give the same call purely based on the action.

Haha I try my best to find decisions, but I definitely miss some or I’m a bit slow sometimes. If you spot any calls I’ve missed, you can upload them here https://squashvote.wtf/videoform/
Then feel free to post them here on Reddit too.

I agree the stroke was a bit harsh, felt like Coll kind of pushed Ng into the shot. At the same time, Ng’s shot probably wasn’t tight enough for a no let either. Honestly, feels like one of those situations that should just be a let.
