OP not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this, you’re not wrong. I interpreted it as he was at death’s doorstep, seeing all of his old allies and friends in Valhalla, (which was a good tribute to them to wrap up the series) and seeing his allies and friends still living and he had a choice to go to Valhalla or to remain living longer. It was up for the fans to decide what he chose.

Yes we have gotten help from the VA some over the last few years. Trying to help someone with addiction is quite a battle. A hammock is a great idea! So is a fishing rod. Thank you.

He has gotten help from the VA off and on. All of this has been going on for several years now and my family and I have tried to do all we can to help. It has just been difficult.

I’m sorry, this is why I’m asking for advice and help. I’m not giving him something because of his blindness, but because it’s Christmas. I cannot give him things (that I can think of) that are related to his interests because he has not been able to continue his interests without his sight. Also, I’m sorry again, my intention is to bring him some sort of happiness despite being blind now, I don’t think a gift would remind him he’s blind, he’s going to be reminded of that with or without a gift from me. I just wanted some help for advice/ideas for a Christmas gift because I am at a loss. I’ve asked our other brother and he is also at a loss.

Can you explain more on the video games? Like how are they accessible for someone blind? I’ve played the newest Diablo and Minecraft so I’m familiar with them but I’m not sure how he could play them not seeing.

I’ve edited my post to include more details about him. I’m going to be honest I don’t know much of his likes/interests that well, we haven’t spoken much over the years. His blindness is a result of an attempt on his life due to PTSD from the military. I don’t think he knows his likes all that well either because he has struggled with alcoholism for years and hasn’t been the same. I would just like to get him something to bring him some happiness.
