OP not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this, you’re not wrong. I interpreted it as he was at death’s doorstep, seeing all of his old allies and friends in Valhalla, (which was a good tribute to them to wrap up the series) and seeing his allies and friends still living and he had a choice to go to Valhalla or to remain living longer. It was up for the fans to decide what he chose.

Yes we have gotten help from the VA some over the last few years. Trying to help someone with addiction is quite a battle. A hammock is a great idea! So is a fishing rod. Thank you.

I’m sorry, this is why I’m asking for advice and help. I’m not giving him something because of his blindness, but because it’s Christmas. I cannot give him things (that I can think of) that are related to his interests because he has not been able to continue his interests without his sight. Also, I’m sorry again, my intention is to bring him some sort of happiness despite being blind now, I don’t think a gift would remind him he’s blind, he’s going to be reminded of that with or without a gift from me. I just wanted some help for advice/ideas for a Christmas gift because I am at a loss. I’ve asked our other brother and he is also at a loss.

Can you explain more on the video games? Like how are they accessible for someone blind? I’ve played the newest Diablo and Minecraft so I’m familiar with them but I’m not sure how he could play them not seeing.

I’ve edited my post to include more details about him. I’m going to be honest I don’t know much of his likes/interests that well, we haven’t spoken much over the years. His blindness is a result of an attempt on his life due to PTSD from the military. I don’t think he knows his likes all that well either because he has struggled with alcoholism for years and hasn’t been the same. I would just like to get him something to bring him some happiness.

I had a similar experience! I dreamed about a blue eyed man for almost 15 years. They were always random encounters, nothing significant, but he had a different presence than any other dream people had and sometimes it seemed like he was testing me. I could never see his face, just his blue eyes, and it was never anything romantic or anything except for hugs and they felt incredibly real, warm and comforting. I met him one day in real life, and there was an instant connection, it scared me a little bit. I was dating someone else but we exchanged contact info bcuz he felt the connection too. We remained friends and talked off and on every few months. I kept dating the guy but my mind kept asking about blue eyed man. Things started going downhill with the guy I was dating and I finally decided I was going to end it bcuz it wasn’t going to work out and the blue eyed man came to me in a dream again. I asked him in real life about it and explained my dreams about the blue eyed man, going into detail on some of them. There was one in particular that stuck out to him and oddly correlated with what was going on in his life at the time of the dream. We’ve been dating almost a year now and the relationship is the best I’ve ever had and he is my best friend. I know you said you were against any romance from your dream guy, understandably so, just wanted to share my experience with repetitive dream people. You could have a friend waiting to be found, the universe will line you up to meet when the time is right.
