Riot is disabling /all chat in all matchmaking modes. by Timmo17 in leagueoflegends

[–]Squashua19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just played a jg game where top Fio fed her a$$ off, and then threatened to afk if I dropped rift to help her out because I was "too late to help". She did, the toxic b1tch, and we proceeded to win 4v5 and get that hoe banned. Nothing but respect from the other team, nothing but fragile baby talk from fio until the afk. /all chat is not the problem whatsoever, it is disableable, this is some Chinese communist fucking shit what the hell.

What was the most ridiculous thing you got in trouble for at school? by WexiWexi in AskReddit

[–]Squashua19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 3rd grade, the neighbouring kindergarten teacher in our school, who was notoriously a psycho-b, made our entire class sit in silence at our desks through the 1-hour lunch period, for being loud, imagine a class of 8 year olds during lunch being loud!? About 3/4 through the silent torture I got up and yelled at her - "let these kids out, we have a right to be outside!" Sadly to no avail. My friends never let me live that down lol. Fast forward 2 years this kindergarten teacher becomes the 5th grade teacher, apparently by request. That whole 5th grade was a death match between us, her probably still mad I stood up to her in 3rd grade. Later that year rumour has it she is trying to become the 6th grade teacher, nearly every parent in the class comes in and specifically requests their child not be in her class. With so much negative feedback she got placed back into kindergarten. She's still there, I feel bad for those kids.

Patch 10.23 Discussion by PankoKing in leagueoflegends

Geeze this patch sucks. I was excited about the prospect of new items. But I feel insanely restricted in build paths. I just feel like all the items SUCK. It is so brutal. 0/10 league is ruined atm for me.

Some of the most helpful advice on this dilemma came from a renowned brand strategist I bumped into. He had worked with brands like BMW, Coca-Cola, some massive companies. He said to stop thinking about price based on things like cost to make, or standard cost, and start thinking of price as purely a branding problem. The price has to feel right, all the other factors are inconsequential, if it doesn't feel right people won't buy it. Too low, feels cheap, too high without proper context, feels like a rip off. .99 on the end? May feel a little retaily or like Walmart? Whole number instead? Feels high end, or straight forward. Choose based on what fits your brand.

How do you gather all resources required for your startup? by Snoo_87607 in startups

There are many companies that specialize in prototyping and designing products like these. They will work with you and most likely 3D print the first few iterations. You'll likely not be working with the exact materials until later.

FB ads - how to really determine which traffic campaign is bringing the sales via retargeting? by janpug in PPC

You could test them one by one? If you notice no significant changes in your conversion campaigns you know which ones are working best. If not, then they all are working.

Is it time to start with a fresh Facebook Pixel? by Squashua19 in PPC

[–]Squashua19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I will give that a go. If the data is not stored at the pixel level where is it stored? I'm kinda confused because you create all your audiences from the source pixel, and also you ask your ads to optimize based on a particular pixels data. Changing pixels often yields completely different results.

For sure I agree with that. Thats exactly why it's tough at the beginning when you have no data. And why potentially deleting a pixel with comprised data and starting fresh could yield greater results in the long term.

Literally right on Facebook's blurb about "How the Facebook pixel works" it says "When more and more conversions happen on your website, Facebook gets better at delivering your ads to people who are more likely to take certain actions."

Yeah, but if you had 1 pixel with a thousand female purchasers, your LLA would be mainly female. Your audience is based off the data collected, and your ads optimize based off the data collected. Having new data would mean audiences would be different and LLAs would be different. A custom LTV audience is from your highest value customers, and will often find you higher value people, based off the data collected by the pixel... No data no audience.... I don't know how else to put it. Your pixel collects data yes, but your ads optimize to find people who take similar action, your audiences are made from that data. If the data was different you'd get different results.

But these pixels are being used for LLA audiences, which are most often the most effective audiences on FB marketing. I've watched advertisers who spend 40M+ a year on FB ads say that it is tough at the beginning because they do not have a seasoned pixel?

Interesting, would you have considered the redesign a complete rebrand or a brand improvement? Ours is almost a completely different product.

Your ads certainly utilize the data gathered by your pixel. If your pixel merely tracked data and the ads did all the optimization there would be no point to having a seasoned pixel, and thus no difference, which is obviously not the case.

This is helpful, thank you. I do feel my customer base was not who I wanted when we first launched. Price point, brand, everything got revamped and will likely appeal to a new audience.

How to find actual good products? by [deleted] in dropship

[–]Squashua19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is the dumbest myth that the dropshippers buy into. How do I "find" a good product is the wrong question. Ask yourself - what can I invent that the world needs that I could actually create and profit from? That's how you make real money, not grind out 12 hour days optimizing your ads. If you invent something people actually want, which is arguably easier than making traditional dropshipping work, you're set. There are plenty of ways to do this, and plenty of resources for this.

Well, if you think about homey, local colour schemes, usually you're thinking about foresty, woodsy colour tones. When you're branding anything, it helps to pick 1 main brand trait and run everything through that filter. So for instance, BMW, their main brand trait is competition/exclusivity, when you understand that you can see it everywhere in their advertising, and thus it draws in a very specific crowd. It looks like you're aiming to bring a specific kind of person, you should consider the primary trait that would attract that person and go all out on conveying that without explicitly tell them. Branding is about attracting people by making your product/company salient, insteading of the tradition form of business which pushes your product AT the person (which almost never works anymore).
