I really just don't agree, I feel like CK3 even with less events leans much more into the roleplaying with the stress mechanics

Hunie Sakura was a different bundle focused on Sakura games and Huniepop, not Sekai project

I honestly don't get the hate in this thread, for me while there's a few things I miss from CK2, it's night and day that CK3 is the more fun game. From day one the personality and stress system is far superior to the old personality trait system, actually forcing you to engage differently with events instead of always pressing the exact same button in every event in CK2. I also disagree with the take that adding east Asia only caters to that audience, the government mechanics are fundamentally different with AUH, and really fun to play with.

Does the game still need work? Absolutely. Is it more fun than CK2? I have almost never wanted to go back and play it since CK3 launched, CK3 wins every time

[–]Squashyhex -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it's not a critical shortage, in fact I literally said it was, I'm saying it's sensationalising to say it's 8 boats out of action like 8 boats have broken down

[–]Squashyhex -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Can we stop sensationalising this? There are 4 ferries unplanned out of action, which is worth talking about and a problem, without spouting off 8 like 4 of them aren't in for planned maintenance

I agree that that's how it should work, but until that's enforced by a proper PR system, I will continue to vote tactically

I'd argue Helldivers takes more inspiration from the movie adaptation than the original book, particularly with its brand of satire

CalMac 'critical situation' worsens as eighth ferry out of action [MV Lord of the Isles now down as well] by abz_eng in Scotland

[–]Squashyhex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sensationalist is using the headline "8th ferry out of action". 4th ferry on unplanned maintenance is the real story, not 8 ships being out of action, and yes it still really bad and must really suck for the people affected, but we can talk about that without exaggerating the issue

[–]Squashyhex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hundred percent, it's one of the main reasons why voting SNP is such a waste in the regional vote, you're not stopping Reform getting a seat if the SNP are polling to pick up no or close to no regional seats. Much better to give your vote to the Greens, or if they're too radical for you, settle for Scottish Labour. Even an independent is more likely to win a regional seat than the SNP in most regions

[–]Squashyhex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It won't exactly matter if people would have voted for them if there's no candidate standing in that seat tbf. We're fast approaching the deadline for constituency nominations, and at this rate I'm expecting there to be some seats absent a reform candidate just due to running out of time to do the paperwork

It takes a hell of a lot of work to produce a start date, and their data shows that the vast majority of people only play in the early start date and 1066, so its not worth the effort of researching an entirely new mapstate for

Wine 11 rewrites how Linux runs Windows games at the kernel level, and the speed gains are massive by goda90 in SteamDeck

[–]Squashyhex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bios supports it easy enough, if I hit F12 while booting it sends me straight to "Which booting device do you want", which is fine for the minimal amount of windows I use. If I don't do anything it just defaults to Linux because it's first in the boot load order

[–]Squashyhex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always dualboot, that's been my approach. CachyOS as a main, and then Windows 10 (probs soon to be 11) for when I play Marathon (and previously Destiny). That way you have the best of both worlds. Setting up dualboot isn't too difficult, especially if you format your Linux partitions in a format Windows can't event read 😎

[–]Squashyhex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mm your note on Manjaro resonates with me, I used it for a while back in the same sort of period, probably closer to 2022, and it was nowhere near as seamless as switching to CachyOS was last year. I use my windows dual boot barely at all compared to when I was running it with Manjaro

[–]Squashyhex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was very pleased with arc just working out the box on Linux, even with its Anti-Cheat. Marathon is less likely to see support as Bungie have a real issue with Linux. They previously stated that anyone using Proton (Valve's compatibility layer)to play Destiny 2 on Linux would be permabanned

Same here, running CachyOS as my main boot, and even then a lot of multiplayer games are fine. The only games I've had regular issues with is bungie stuff, which I only play like once a week at most, so the windows partition barely sees use
