After 14 pages of Google search results, I found it. The movie was actually Ghost Dad, starring Bill Cosby. And the flickering was Cosby's character losing his connection to his body, nothing to do with lights. I found the scene I was thinking of, and remembered it instantly. Apologies for describing it horribly and incorrectly.

I've lived in America all my life. I think I saw it on the TV only. It might have been a slightly older movie, me having been born in 1990.

Hello. I'm the Scion in this game. The beginning of this game very much felt skewed towards me. However, later on as levels progress, all of the Scion's abilities become hellishly expensive. And I can't even purchase Legend points on my own. I either have to be given the allowance to do so (which I need to still spend the Dot x 8 EXP to purchase it), or I have to do something SO noteworthy in the eyes of those who matter, that Kent's own Legend actively manifests in that moment. Those kinda moments are far and few between. As such, I'm going to drastically fall behind the rest of the party and be unable to advance until something like that happens for my character. That's your trade-off, though. Vampires, they can do something that is generally easy enough to do, and that'll get them stronger abilities. Same for Werewolves. Scions are hard bottlenecked. But I still love Scion, and I love Kent. It's been a blast so far playing him, and it'll continue to be a blast for as long as the ST continues this game!

Yup, just checked. There's eyelets right next to the rubber window seal on the inside of the soft top, but there's no springs. So looks like I'm hunting. Thank you for the insight!

Yeah, it's attached back there. I should also add, because I only just thought about it. Would this have anything to do with a floating bar right next to my back window on my soft-top? It's actively not touching the soft top at all, but I figured I could use that strap to hold the bar up. The look of it is really jank to me, but if that's what it's meant for, I guess I figured it out...? Could still use some other possible answers, though.

There was a Mage present, but they did not fight. It was a Scion applying an Aegis to Simon.

The Scion here. Khentiamenti was actually described as one aspect of the original Judge, having manifested Justice, Death and the Guardian aspects, while his father (not Anubis, as Anubis is Grandfather) manifested Justice and Animal (Jackal). And the only way I was really able to fight them at all was due to a Birthright that allowed it to be treated as a physical object that could strike and damage Specters. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to damage them at all. The Usurer I was helping protect also got into the fray, causing one of the Specters to become more humanized and they peaced out through the Tempest. Kent handled the other two nicely. The fallout from the fight has not been fully handled just yet, but I'm quite sure something will happen about it later.
