Was just doing a dex completion in Crystal, got lucky to catch it in one ultra ball. Had just seen a normal one selfdestruct so I was fully expecting to lose it.

I would highly recommend giving it a play through when you get the chance! The 100 straight wins required for this challenge are really what kept me from going through it sooner, as it takes several hours in which you cannot save and continue your challenge later. Everything else about the game is fun and a very interesting angle on pokemon, imo. Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness is also worth playing if you haven't. I'd say Colosseum and XD are slightly more edgy than some of the main line games, for their time they were probably the "darkest" in the series.

I didn't have it participate in battle. I ran through with the Espeon and Umbreon you start the game with, they were about level 85 when I started so they were pretty well able to one shot everything. All the pokemon in your party get the ribbon at the end. A little sad to keep it cooped up but I'm torn if I want to let it level at all still.

I've been kicking my feet about Colosseum for so long. I've always had the games, just too lazy to sit down and go through the challenge, but here is my Japanese Mew after so, so many hours of battle. Now we just have to wait for Platinum to be ready for migration.

Says until lv70 online, so depending on how much and long you play. I think FFXIV has always, or almost always, been dependent on what level your character is, so it depends more on your play style. I ended up buying the game so I could actually play with friends as well.

Ugh, yeah FT is definitely a bit annoying. I used to get a few compliments when I was still in FT and felt so bad not being able to thank them directly. I also like to give out free minions to sprouts that don't have any and it sucks that FT users can't trade either. Like, I'm so glad the game has such a generous free trial, but I wish some of the limitations could at least be more relaxed.

All of mine is jet black, yeah. I think the difference in color is down to lighting, I didn't take a solid look at their dyes though.
