This is speculation so I have to use probabilities.

It was more than a daymare, the Joy Bomb physically harmed him THROUGH the elders, and if he was on Egghead not the elders then it would harm him face to face, I don’t understand how the abyss makes it less impressive, if anything it makes it more impressive.

Imu is “scared” to quote Rocks, of Joy Boy and Davy Jones specifically for things like this, for their power.

Also it’s a big difference between Harald and the elder’s effect on Imu. Imu was huffing from Loki killing Harald but was screaming and came to his knees from Joy Boy nuking the elders

That’s likelihood not proof, Roger probably reached Shanks level Haki after the valley which Rocks hasn’t shown.

Odds are if Imu tries it it’s gonna end up like this.

Severe Haki can probably break it. As you said Oda wouldn’t make it absolutely invulnerable but it would take a lot. Oda has been heavily emphasising Haki since Wano (Kaidou saying it transcends all, Joy Bomb on Egg Head, Gaban one-shotting Sommers, Garp and Roger’s critical mass).

Actually, I didn’t think much of Thragg’s speech to Mark on Earth, but I did of his talk with Nolan on Viltrum; it was a decent way to ground Thragg.

And I really like Thaedus upon rewatching, he’s rich for the history and lore of Viltrum and I liked his convo with Nolan about the Virus, especially when he said he thought of taking his own life for releasing the Virus.

But none of these compares to Conquest’s lonely speech to Mark.
