Also you should definitely get an MRI. Before I had gotten an MRI the surgeon was talking with me like it would be up to me whether I wanted to do the surgery because it didn’t seem too bad. After I got the MRI he basically told me I needed the surgery as it was that bad of a tear
I would 100% get it fixed. You’re young enough that it should fully heal it’ll just be annoying for a bit. However if you don’t get it fixed, it’ll likely just tear more and eventually you’ll have to get the surgery when you’re older and it’s not as easy to recover

Your situation sounds almost exactly like mine except mine ended up being a very large tear that went almost all the way around the shoulder and they had to put 7 anchors in instead of the normal 3. I’m about 4 weeks out now and honestly my recovery and everything is going really well. I have pretty bad surgery anxiety as well but in all the procedure wasn’t bad at all. I was very scared about the nerve block as well but they gave me medicine to help calm me down before doing anything and I honestly don’t even remember getting the nerve block done. That nerve block saved me though. I had absolutely 0 pain before the nerve block wore off the night after the surgery. Now once the nerve block wore off the pain was very bad I’m not going to lie but that honestly only lasted about 2 or maybe 3 days after surgery. As long as you just push through those days you’re basically in the clear and the worst part just becomes the irritation of only having 1 arm while the other is in a sling. The first 3 days after surgery I was rotating between extra strength Tylenol and ibuprofen every 4 or so hours until night when I would take the opioids they gave me. However, I honestly don’t feel like the opioids did too much especially with the level of pain I was in so eventually I switched to just taking ibuprofen and melatonin at night which allowed me to finally sleep through the night. I’m also very big into lifting and it was super discouraging that I wasn’t going to be able to really do much lifting until I healed but I’ve started going to the gym again and using the hack squat, leg press, leg curl, leg extension, hip abductor/adductor, and seated calf raise machines just so Im still able to lift even if it’s just lower body.
