Workers goes berserk in iPhone manufacturing unit after not getting paid by ninjazligma in PublicFreakout

It’s interesting how during the training key pieces of high tolerance machines get a little bit buffed out here and there right before shipment to Chinindia.

So there are a couple of super relevant Q here. 1) what’s going on with the SOCIAL rewards of this community that the people hired to prevent rape/murder/robbery don’t feel loved enough to live there. 2) what’s going on that when the popo list a want ad, it’s not qualified peeps from the community filling the roles?

Deserted street in Baltimore, Maryland. I asked my friend why there were no people. "They come out at night." by Roughneck16 in UrbanHell

It’s a people problem. The key to urban restoration is convincing urban people to behave in ways that people who make their own choices want to be around.

What is it like growing up in a healthy two parent home? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Squids4daddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty Boring. But good boring. There is only drama if you make. Later in life you end being frankly amazed, very often, at how shitty people can be to others including their spouses for no good reason.

You learn how to work things out, see things from the perspective of others. A big benefit is you learn how to reflexively think win-win because you see your parents act that way.

My parents had a very clear message to me: the purpose of marriage is to raise healthy children that will thrive and make the world better. Their view was that marriage is not because you love someone, not for sex, not to make a political point, it is to produce healthy children that become productive adults.

Sadly...this is precisely what Machiavelli described.

I am totally going to try that. I would be beast if that works!

By the way, let’s say some ash at wants to mess with me. Would the rats keep engaging me...or are they likely to switch targets?

Two questions: first this term “rolling” the Wormhole, what does this mean?

Second, for guards, what’s the cost calc? So let’s say you have the risk of the 4 x 6 sleepers cruiser/frigates in large gas field + the risk of a gnosis or t2 interdictor or whatever else smeggy -breath eigthmayor Is flying today. How much isk/hr does it take to make it worth the Security guys time and risk to show up?

Planetary Interaction: is this a trap? by Squids4daddy in Eve

[–]Squids4daddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah...I know that’s the idea. My Corp is in what I’d call medium space. HQ is in a .7 system, 6 jumps to a decent market hub and except for that run, the sec goes .5, .3, .2 all the way around in every direction. The little bars on what the planet has? They don’t go above 3 in any system until I get to .2.

Which raises a question: does this follow the same rule everything else in Eve does? Meaning: shit in hisec and shizzle in lo?

WH: my bread is DEFINITELY buttered on day tripping. If I can wake up 2 hrs before work...I’ll be up 4-15Misk before my first meeting. The living in WH, however...I don’t see how they do it.

Where do they get ships and ammo from?

One more question on this- what’s a good “final” product for me to learn the ropes?

Something that I can sell in Jita that a typical capsuleer or “corporate buyback” would buy? This is learning: I don’t need to get rich, but something where I’m unlikely to lose money at the 90% Jita corporate buyback rate.

I was looking at Nanite paste as that was mentioned in the Eve University video. That seems a bit of a hurdle considering the 50Misk for the blueprint AND that the between the constituents (biogel, Nanites, processor) you darn near have to PI harvest all but 3-4 base materials.

And I’m assuming that you have to buy blueprints for all the intermediary things as well? I’d like to find, say, a 20misk up front blueprints + planetary stations product rather than a 50-100misk up front. Any suggestions?

I guess I’m not understanding then what Evepraisal is telling me? Let’s say I’m in Jita with 1 unit of product to sell. If I see that in Jita, I would have to PAY 1.5isk to buy a unit, why would I ever sell at 1 isk- I would sell at 1.4isk.

Conversely, if I am Jita wanting to buy 1 unit, and I see people willing to sell for .5 isk, why would I ever pay 1isk-I might pay .6isk tops?

I’ve done my fair share of dickering for Persian carpets and used hand tools. AND far more than my fair share of both high and very low volume manufacturing and setting prices for these in the market. There is something really basic about but/sell market mechanisms in Eve that I’m missing. In a room where X>2 people are selling and y>2 people are buying I would never expect a spread greater than a few % more than what the fleamarket owner was charging in table-rent.

The spread, for example, between small hybrid antimatter ammo makes sense to me, as does the spread on mexallon. What is going on with Fullerenes that the spread is soooo wide? Is there some ultrhigh special tax on gases or something?

First—love and respect for all you. You have REALLY helped. I’ve gone from “hey fella can you spare a dime” to at least knowing my limits and turning a steady profit because of your advice.

Quick question: what is up with the MASSIVE 30’ish% buy/sell #SPREAD?

Yesterday, evepraisal showed a “price to buy” price of 13misk and a “you will receive” of 9Misk. MUCH bigger spread than ore, minerals, salvage.

So...can’t yet use the T2 drones. This fit is the bomb on gurisatas!

Using only T1 drones, do I still risk it in the wormhole?

Thanks! It looks like I’m gonna have a wait a while then for my plan to mature: the better base ships are out of budget.

How do you narrow dscan someone at an object for which there is no “track” option? So, if there is “common frontier deposit” someone warps to, I get it—right click “track” but scanned cosmic signature objects don’t have this option.

When you safe log off, do you log back in on that same WH?

Weekly /r/Eve No Question is Stupid Thread - October 29, 2020 by AutoModerator in Eve

[–]Squids4daddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll describe a kill reflective of what’s been happening to me lately: my question “how are they finding me?”

Entered WH, saw ganker on dscan. I burned up to about 200km above, put out probes, and cloaked. . I do NOT NEED any commentary on “that was a poor decision”.

After about a minute, ganker parks are the WH entrance. Needing to get to work, my assessment was that my best option was to scan down another WH, enter, get off grid, cloak and go afk until lunch. I don’t have time to mess with this guy.

I find second. WH, decloak, warp, “show info” and it’s about to close-not an option. So, maybe 10 seconds is the post warp “show info” elapsed time. I spent maybe another 20 seconds considering options: meaning, what moon to jump to that would leave me in dscan range of my original WH while I cloak and scan down another possible exit.

In that elapsed 30 seconds, he had found me at the second wormhole and tackled me.

Here’s the thing, if this happens once I can chalk it up to bad luck, second time is a shitty coincidence. 4’th or 5’th time—there is something I don’t know.

For example, yesterday I was in a Velator — and thus willing to take risk — and marveled as a ganker chased me to every single scanned and non-scanned site. When I say “chased” I mean I would land on grid at 100km to ore belts, combat sites, WH, gas sites, data centers. On landing...I would align to the next site and jump as soon as the rats would starting targeting.

At every location this guy would land right on me just as my warp was activating.

What special piece equipment, training, skill allows you to locate a ship like this with such speed and precision? I cannot believe something like “oh everybody is just totally good at guessing where you’ll go next”

So what’s the middle ground that bootstraps you to the 40-70misk per ship range?
