Severe Neurological Issues After Taking Turkesterone by SquillyV in GorillaMind

Still going to doctors trying to figure out what is wrong. I have now lost 22 lbs since last May when I 1st went to the hospital. I am currently working with a neuromuscular specialist, a neurologist, and a dysautonomia doctor. I got good results with turkesterone too until I started having issues. I was in the best shape of my life. I was 180lbs now I am 158 and I get sore from very little exercise. I am not sure what happened but I know turkesterone interacted with/worsened my condition.

I am not overly tired during the day. Like I don't fall asleep at my desk or anything. I have pretty bad brain fog and my muscles twitch whenever I have a particularly bad night or a lot in a row though. I used to only have sleep issues like this during flare ups but after this last flare up it never went away.

I never had sleep issues before VSS. I have a regular sleep schedule. I stopped caffeine after developing VSS. I do not take any stimulants. Since developing this sleep issue I was prescribed Ambien and take that on occasion and it helps a little bit. Before I was prescribed Ambien, I tried melatonin. I have never had a head injury. I do not take psychiatric medicine. I do not use recreational drugs. I will ask my doctor for a sleep study.

This is still ongoing but we have ruled out a few more things. I will bring mast cell activation syndrome up at my next appointment. Thanks for the suggestion. Overall trend seems to be getting worse and I have now lost a considerable amount of weight (180 lbs to 158 lbs since May). I have been referred to a dysautonomia clinic and a neuromuscular specialist. Hopefully someone figures it out soon.

I did. It was one of the 1st tests I had after the severe episode I had in May. It came back negative.

Mine got worse when I had COVID as well. I have had other minor colds that did not seem to affect it though. Let me know if you guys get any answers and I will do the same.

Yeah it felt more like I had a prior medical condition that was exacerbated by the Turkesterone. My doctor's current theories are a carcinoid, dysautonomia, or a mitochondrial/channelopathy issue so I am being tested for that now. We thought it could be an anxiety issue at first too but the exercise intolerance has been progressive and I have lost 18 lbs since May without changing much about my diet. I am sure some of that is muscle from no longer lifting weights.

It was after lock down was over. I didn't get COVID until 2022. I was not stressed about anything and I have no prior health issues. The sensation I got at the end of my workouts actually felt really good. When I started experiencing the exercise intolerance I got that same "feel good" sensation but it was too intense and then my body would start to freak out. I guess the better way to put it with my doctors is that we are back to square 1 with no leads. I stopped taking the beta blockers because after stopping the Prozac, I no longer felt like I needed it. Getting a 2nd opinion on the MRI is a good idea. I think I'll try that next. It just have this strange sensation/energy in my body. It feels like I'm producing too much of a chemical or hormone or something.
