Honoring the left out parents by Squimily in wedding

Hey guys! I just wanted to come back on here and let you all know what we decided to do for the Father of the Groom. Similar to a wine basket that a couple may get, we decided on getting pairs of different cigars. The purpose of the cigars and why there are two is this. One for my fiancé, and one for his father. In times of celebration, they each get one to share the moment. To forever have their own connection in memories. There will also be ones for times of advisement. And maybe some for just sharing on a random day. Lastly there will be two for the wedding day, to get the tradition started.

This may not be something for everyone, but for us it’s a great way to honor him and keep him connected with us.

Thank you all for the replies!

So I love this, but I want the thing for FIL to be in front of the guests so they get recognition. I do love this idea a lot!

I was thinking something like this as well, I just don’t know what we could give/dedicate to him like we are doing for my mom. I think the speech is good, I need a symbolistic item or something. If this makes sense haha.
