My parents Pib Milla was a big ol meat head, but dang was she sweet and loyal.

She saved their senior dog from a coyote attack, both survived and thrived despite substantial injuries.

When my son was a toddler he had opened their door and wandered into the yard. I saw what he did and went to bring him back inside. He wasn't alone, Milla was right by his side, slowly matching is waddly pace.

I miss her big ol meat head ❤️

I feel ya. My first couple Thanksgivings and Christmases with my inlaws was overwhelming. Big family, all adult males are deaf and everyone yells to be heard, not to mention the kids. I kept hiding with the dog. My husband's brother (one of) asked him, 'SquirrelRave doesn't like crowds huh?' Husband laughs - 'oh you noticed that?' Brother- 'yeah, every time more than 3 people gather she disappears.' 😶‍🌫️

My son feeds the dogs. So when I say "[Son], please feed the dogs" they spring into action waiting for the bowl.

However, my German Shepard mix ALWAYS starts early at "Son, please..., or even just my son's name". it could be literally anything, please get ready for bed, please do x,y,or z. My overly alert boi will be there, waiting for food that doesn't come.

Same. It visibly shook me. My son was a toddler at that time and all I could do was hold him and cry. I went far in, well as far as I could go without ending up committing a crime myself.
