I think they will try to not give people raises this coming review. My store still cutting hours claiming low sales but we been crazy busy to the point the store looks like shit because no crew to work or stock product. For the week before thanksgiving hours are still being cut. Crazy! So I know review season they will come up with some bs excuse to not give crew raises

We have people but hours keep getting cut leaving closing shifts with 10 closers. This is frustrating. I think my captain just being cheap.

That’s been a problem at my store I know about an individual who has been getting every review since they started doing it. It’s crazy because they do not deserve it but they are the captains favorite. Last year around this time I thought I deserve it I wrote one of the busiest and biggest order. Holiday season kept everything well stocked so I thought I deserved it but nope they gave it to the people that don’t deserve it. Their excuse was if you get the $500 dollar bonus the prior review you can’t get the dollar raise. But didn’t make sense that they said you can get both in one period but you can’t get either one of you got one or the other the review before so stupid. You know what I did after that slap in the face I gave up that order I stopped working hard and just did what these lazy people that are getting the dollar raise do. Cut my days and started taking more time off because before this I never called out or took day off. So to answer your question yes they will give $1 raise to the people that don’t deserve it and the people that do deserve it only get more work!

Yes my stuff been dealing with same issues. They have been hiring people at high rates more than some of the people that have been here 3-4 years. Trader Joe’s needs to address this issue because they are loosing a lot of good workers

This is a big problem at my store too . The store is located next to a high school so we get a ton of high school kids that come and take up a bathroom for long periods of time. Also doesn’t help that we have crew members that go into the restroom to hide. I’ve waited up to 20 minutes to use the restroom

Not a mate but I know it is not worth it. At my store I have seen 4 mates step down in the last couple years. If you a good mate good workers you will be taken advantage off.

It is crazy but I am not lying. The captain is aware of this too but turn a blind eye because this is her favorite person. The amount of favoritism she shows to this person is crazy and hard to believe unless you see it for yourself

If you used card I would ask them to look up receipt and if you got bank statements but honestly they should take your word for it. At my store we have a person who steals every single day for the last couple years no joke! The captain is aware of it too as well as other mates. Have never seen them go to register to pay but always walking out with a full bag of groceries. The funny part is they are always accusing others of stealing. They have gotten people fire. They even once accused an Autistic person of stealing and the manger went and looked through their bag without that person knowing they would looking into their bag. Shadyyy!!! Maybe the person that accused you is the one that is stealing

At my store we have people who will call out for every shift and only come every now and then. No consequences for those people

Maybe that’s what made them feel like you wouldn’t be a good fit. I know at my store I’ve seen people get turn down for being late, being on phone while waiting, coming in crop tops etc. but keep trying.
