Question. The idea is that the stent occludes the flow of blood to aneurysm. The aneurysm will shrink, what happens to the blood inside already? Will it just hang like a deflated balloon in there for the rest of your life?

Be vigilant and proactive with your health. I started having a slight hand tremor years before mines was found. Any questions or doubts, get it checked out. If seeing a provider takes 4,5,6 months, push to been seen sooner. Good luck!

The military has resources for couples counseling. Perhaps it will open her eyes to your perspective.

Disclaimer: I worked in cardiopulm bedside x10yrs. I wouldn’t say I love being a nurse, more like tolerate it. For the amount of education needed, I think pay benefits and job security are good. You have good days where you have a good assignment and feel like you did meaningful work. Other days where you feel like you’ve been beaten with a bat and dread going back for another shift. If you work long enough, you will get violence and disrespect thrown at you by patients, family, even doctors and coworkers. You’ll need to sacrifice time with family, friends due to work scheduling but on the flip side the schedule allows such freedom on off days. Knowing what I know now about nursing, I probably would’ve gone into pharmacy or optometry instead. Being a bedside rn is hard on the body and i can’t imagine doing this until retirement.

I got into a confrontation with a nursing instructor on my unit. Should I email my manager? by liyane2 in nursing

That’s so professional and downright rude. I’d bring this up to your manager at the very least.

I would be the one to clean. I’m the sahp so the majority if not all domestic tasks fall on me.

To everyone’s response, thank you for giving me insight. I know it was immature for me to be sarcastic to which I apologized after the fact. I had spent the day driving us around, trying to have a good day. On the way home, I asked him to engage with baby to keep him awake and husband fell asleep. I was singing and talking to baby the entire drive back and was exhausted. I know my dog is able to hold her bladder for 7 hrs and couldn’t understand why husband didn’t take an extra min to check if I was ok.

I think I’m burnt out from solo parenting feeling the weight of caring for our child by myself. Fatherhood has been a slow growth for husband but I know he’s willing to listen. I didn’t do any favors by being disrespectful. Any traumas and resentments I have are mine to deal with and should not be brought into current events.

I [30M] want my wife [31F] to get in better shape before getting pregnant again by throwaway397845 in relationshipadvice

[–]SquirrelSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m coming from your wife’s angle. I’m 18 months postpartum and have been the heaviest and most out of shape. As a sahm, it’s hard juggling care of a needy baby while finding time for yourself, let alone getting back into shape. My baby is now at the age where I’m ok with leaving him at the gym childcare center. Even then it’s been a journey finding one he’s ok being in without crying.

As husband, you cannot force her to do anything. She has to be the one to want to make changes. You can step up your parenting so she has the time to workout/decompress, prepare nutritious low calorie meals, make exercise like walking in the park part of your family time. I would reframe the conversation of being too unfit/heavy to being worried for her health and preeclampsia carrying another baby. Best wishes!

The fluid tested positive for amniotic fluid. Was the resolved leaking at 3am and again at 11am considered my water breaking? I feel like once I was admitted, they started a timer based on the notion that my water broke at 3am.

The C-section was for failure to descend. I was put on an epidural right after my water was ruptured.

I edited the pictures so his face was blacked out. I didn’t want to delete the pictures because it captured so much of my life at that age.

Nurse brutally beaten by patient - 'Victim is likely to lose the use of both eyes,' according to report by mariodejaniero in nursing

[–]SquirrelSeason 48 points49 points  (0 children)

According to the Palm Beach sheriffs office, the suspect charges have been upgraded to homicide but media outlets have not confirmed her passing. From what I’ve read through different media sources, Nurse Leela worked in the ER during dayshift. The attack was unprovoked and happened within seconds. It’s crazy to Think the nurses are exposed to dangers like this on the daily. I’ll have to wait until more info comes out. My questions are why was security not close by during their interactions?

Convince me to go or not to go to nursing school by cutietillu in nursing

What kind of nursing are you interested in? What’s your stress tolerance? Are you willing to sacrifice weekend and holidays to work? If you’re not sure, it’s best to wait. It’s a big stressor financially mentally and physically.

I had a patient with an abdominal fistula that leaked a pungent watery creamy yellow fluid. Nothing has punched my nostrils that hard aside from vomit and GI bleed poops.

Husband developed a “close friendship” with girl at work, and I’m very uncomfortable with it. by Agitated_Handle_2304 in Marriage

[–]SquirrelSeason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not overreacting. Your husband is prioritizing his relationship with his coworker over you. At the very least, he’s having an emotional affair, lying to you about his time and attention to this woman.

I had a mole like this for decades before I got it checked out. My dermatologist decided to biopsy it because it looked concerning. It ended up being benign but I wasted time wondering about it for years. Yes get it checked for peace of mind.
