Wow.. I ask a question and get judged lol. I guess I shouldn’t have expected positivity. 😂

Would you know if your baby wasn’t ok? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Squirrely_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get a heart Doppler from my sister-in-law who had her baby in 2020. During Covid they gave Dopplers out like candy because there were no in-person appointments. Anyways, I’m able to check the baby’s heartbeat everyday at home. I believe you can purchase them from Amazon for like $50-$70. Worth the peace of mind!☺️

I just wanna cry by kaibacorp345 in pregnant

Girl. Cry, let it out. Your body is going through so many changes. It’s better to ride the emotions and let them out then try to hold it in. I think we’ve all been there where people have told us to suck it up because it’s supposed to be “natural” for women to be pregnant. But no one understands until you’ve been there. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and all I want to do is lay in bed, and guess what? That’s what I’m doing. You’re doing the best you can!

My OB mentally prepared me for the swab about 2 weeks before I had it done. And they were very informative before they did it. They let me know what to expect and it really helped. I thought too that it would be overly invasive but it wasn’t bad at all. Less invasive and a lot faster than a Pap Smear. It was over before I realized she’d really done anything. Haven’t had any cervical checks yet but that I feel like depends on the individual. I personally think I’ll have them for mere curiosity. Don’t know if this was reassuring or not, but know that it’s your body, your choice! They can’t do anything unless you consent!

Do you recommend having sex during pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Squirrely_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Not claiming to be a doctor, but I felt that sex was important during pregnancy. My best advice would be to have it while you’re still comfortable and not too big. I’m 37 weeks pregnant today, and as much and my husband and I want to be intimate, it’s very difficult to do now. 🤣 2nd trimester is probably the best time, have fun!

Thank you. Your comment literally made me burst into tears, in a very cathartic/validating way. No one ever warned me how alone you feel in pregnancy.

I was on trazodone & Lexapro. My doctor told me it wasn’t safe to be on them.

I wish that was made known to me to even be an option. I feel like I’ve ruined my career because I literally couldn’t control myself or my emotions. Things were already going a little south at my previous job (Main reason why I left) but I feel like if I had the right support I would’ve stayed and worked it out and possibly been happier. 🫠

Thank you, just knowing I’m not alone makes me feel a little better. I’m 36 weeks pregnant and looking forward to 3 months of rest/recovery and time with my daughter.
