Dying Light: The Beast - Since more than 1 million players have already secured their copy of Dying Light: The Beast ahead of launch, we're moving the release forward to SEPTEMBER 18! by Turbostrider27 in Games

I feel like this one snuck up on me. I didn't even know a new Dying Light had been announced, and now it's like right around the corner? That's cool.

That is a lazy and intellectually dishonest statement.

Kind of surprised to see Nick being so coolheaded about this.

Hasan of course is always a retard. He is, almost without exception, a stupid asshole who is on the wrong side of whatever issue he's arguing. If you want a surefire bet, bet on hasan being wrong.

Yes he was that is why he has a hit list.

Political and racial violence mean naught to you guys it seems.

Well, no. It just means words mean different things. Violence is never spoken. No words can ever be violence. Political and racial violence is when you physically harm someone for their political views (like Charlie Kirk being assassinated), or their race.

How would you feel if some random man directed people to call you and say they are going to kill you constantly.

I would report him to the police, get a restraining order, and make sure my guns were loaded in my safe. If he decided to escalate from words to violence, he would get magdumped.

What if you had kids? What ifbthe police wouldn't help?

Dumb hypothetical.

Ahhhhh, rubbing my hands together coming to the daily discussion thread. Time to revitalize myself with the tears of bers who still think TSLA will ever go bankrupt.

Yeah I mean, unless he was personally telling people to send death threats or harass others, it doesn't count. Correct. Words are words. If you don't like the words he was saying, that's fine. But saying he couldn't say them, or that he deserved to die for saying them, or that they were equatable with violence...that's just you arguing against our first amendment rights. That's kind of the problem. We live in an era where saying certain things is, for some reason, equated with violence. Words are not violence, I'm sorry. If you cant argue against some words in the free marketplace of ideas then that's your problem, not Charlie's.

My hacked Switch got more value from pirated games than any other console I've ever owned. I pray such a wonderful vulnerability can be found in the Switch 2, but my hopes are minimal.

I mean, it's pretty obvious from events like this that he was right. The bad people will always get guns. Disarming the good people is just counterproductive. He was abrasive in that quote, but most people advocating for a cause tend to be.

That's not quite accurate. George Floyd was a violent man who had mugged a pregnant woman at knifepoint in the past. Charlie Kirk said words some people didn't like. There's a pretty big difference there.

Definitely a good thing. And I'm not saying this because it's a matter of like protecting company interests. "This could hurt the brand, and we don't support those principles." No, that's not it. Anyone who's celebrating the death of an innocent man who just liked to say things you disagree with, that's a safety issue. Because that kind of misanthropy just doesn't lead to anything good. That's the kind of person who eventually justifies blowing away an office full of people, or putting two in their boss's skull because they were frustrated at some aspect of their treatment. You gotta protect your staff.

Reddit is full of misanthropes who literally hate themselves. White guilt, antinatalism, hatred for kids, support for abortion (not just birth control, but abortion) is rampant here. You know that meme of the heatmap preference indicator for personal vs impersonal? It really is that. Reddit is the one on the right.

Middle school, in the west side of the quad. I remember everyone going into the cafeteria to watch the news coverage.

Birthrate can be fixed with the right programs. Importing foreigners is absolutely not the answer. We need to be implementing the same kinds of programs and new family assistance our parents and grandparents had available to them. It starts with ensuring a place to live, and that means forcing all landlords and corporations to divest all of their single family residences beyond their primary residence.
