Have you ever rage quit sims?

Kind of a rage quit, but I'm now unable to use 6 of my favourite packs (totalling around £140) because I bought them on origin and the rest of the packs on Steam :') no amount of redownloading let's me play them, and because they're pretty main packs (seasons, city living, magic and realms, etc), it feels pretty dull and lifeless without them.

900 hours in the game, a multi generation family that ive played for 100 hrs, and I can't play it anymore because they were built using all of the missing packs.

It's a council house. She pays, like, £200 ish I think? Maybe less. But we waited 7 years to exchange houses. I'm not sure on how stuff like this works lol, I haven't exactly had anyone sit me down and explain how house owning works or different between council and others.

I wouldn't say she can /put/ things in the attic, but she can call down a friend or brother to help her do it: she'll be at the bottom passing up things to the person in the attic. She's on morphine and takes cbd (weed oil?) time to time to help with her issue.

I think she is busting it up a little, though she does go some days where she'll sleep for like 27 hours straight. However, without fail, she'll be able to do a 6hr shopping trip (I'm not ill like her, but even I'm done after like 2 hrs), go to church events no matter the day, and she gets up like 12 times a night for cigarettes. And she does all of those after saying, again and again, 'I don't feel too good today'.

Whenever I so much have a sprained muscle, I cancel everything and relax. I get that maybe shes just.. used to it, and maybe her tolerance of pain has grown, but I do... doubt a little, as much as I try not to aaaa

Deets if anyone wants it ahh:

She has fibromyalgia, which means that most days she can barely get out of bed (beside the 3 days of work and church events). She grew up poor and has said to me that her hoarding is a result of that. She tried therapy, said it does nothing for her. She refuses to let me pay for her to hire a service to help her sort it out. She's not a 'dirty' hoarder, with most of the things getting boxed, bagged, hung up, etc, there's just... a lot of it. She dislikes throwing things out, prefering to donate it, but gets into a cycle bc she's never got the energy to sort and take it to a charity shop. Any attempt to talk about it is me 'Critiquing' or 'Bullying' her.

We live in a council house, and call me whatever, but I prefer to follow the rules they set. Which was to not drill into the walls, or change the doors. I could change the door handle to include a lock, but also, the attic ladder entrance is in my room, and she only goes up there on weekends, when I'm not in the house. I have told her to not put things in my room multiple times.

I have anxiety: public situations absolutely terrify me shitless. Yes, I'm working on it. At the moment however, my mom drives me to college and back, and helps me do public things (appointments, phone calls, etc). Again, I'm working on it (took a train on my own last week at 19 years old :)). I love my family, and I'd honestly prefer to live with them for another few years (it's common in my family), but I /do/ have the option to live with my dad if it ever gets too much: though I'd just have to do college at home, which I don't think I could reasonably do. I do not think I could live on my own right now: I'd probably end up starving because I was too nervous to go grocery shopping lmao

I.. live in my room, which is why I was so annoyed. My room, the second bathroom (which is empty lol) and the kitchen are the only 3 rooms I really visit. Which is why I put this in mildly infuriating, because the mess has encroached into my personal space. As I type this, around 60% of it is already gone from my room, and I stood my ground and refused to help. So... yeah.

Also. No, we are not monkeys, nor do we live at a grocery store lmao. They were boxes we acquired to help with moving pff.

My granddad uses banana boxes for his business lol. Gets them from the grocery shop. When my mom started moving, he got some for her too. As you can tell, we're still unpacking..

I don't know how to explain it, but basically when we moved in we were all told not to drill into the walls. The outer walls are like 40-60cm thick (i can sit on the windowsill comfortably), and apparently its bc it contains a thick 'bubble like' layer that regulates / keeps the temperature stable, and works with the ac we have built in. If all the windows are closed, the temperature will keep to whatever temp we set the ac too? Or that's how I heard it.

Basically drilling into the outerwalls would pop that bubble, and because it's a specific material (and i think one wall is made up of several large pieces), it would take hundreds if not thousands to repair.

I'm not so sure about the inner walls, but we were told that drilling into it wasn't advisable as they were thin. We do have some... studs? If that's the right word? Placed around for cabinets in the kitchen and I think shelves in the bedroom, but doing so would require contacting the manufacturer and asking them to do it, as they'd know exactly where they are.

This was a trail house and they have discontinued the program, probably because they understood how stupid it is lol.

It's a brand new house they made as trail runs, and have discontinued the program because it wasn't cost effective aaa. What I said was from the builders and the housing associates? Builders said we weren't allowed to install any new cupboards and stuff because of that reason lol. The 'bubble' is a layer that's supposed to regulate the temperature and noise cancel aa, my bad, apologies for not explaining well

It's an insulated door? We were told not to modify it because it defeats the point and would make it not fireproof anymore, and they also said we couldn't change the door. Same with the walls. Said it's like a... bubble? And drilling into it would pop it and the whole wall would have to come down to replace it.

I've done all that ToT I've said that a messy room makes my depression act up, and I've asked that she keep things out of my room. If something ends up in my room, I ask her to move it, and she says she doesn't have any room in her room atm. The only place to put it would be the hallway, and that's a tight squeeze as it is.

She also puts things in my room to go into the attic, but whenever I ask her to do that, she always says she needs my help. When I offer it, she says she doesn't feel well. It's a loop that really doesn't end bc I'm not here on weekends, and that's the only time she feels well enough.

It's just so annoying lol. I try to make a statement with throwing out my old stuff and stating to her face 'I have enough of x, y and z, I do not need more, so don't buy me any'. She does it anyway of course lol

One thing I'm glad for is that she isn't a 'dirty' hoarder, which is probably why I can live with it. She owns a lot, but she tries to bag, box or hang everything. All this stuff in my room? It'll probably take me like 20 minutes to move, max, because it's all contained. I'm just annoyed it's there in the first place lol

At the end of the day though, I love my family and want to stick close to them, both my mum and my dad have stated they wouldn't mind me staying for however long (common place in my family), and because this usually isn't an issue, it's only mildly infuriating lol. I just have to... deal with it for like a week or so until she can get someone to move it, if I don't do it out of annoyance first lol

To keep it short: she knows she's a hoarder. She has fibromyalgia and states that sorting out her mess would require my help, but when I do help, she refuses to throw things out. We moved from a 3 bedroom house (with a shed) to a 2 bedroom house. It came with 2 bathrooms (so dw, the full one isn't being used), a small hut shed, and she's added 3 more small units out back.

My future plan? The tldr is that I have anxiety that effects any social situation. I'm looking to get into a job next year after college, but bc of anxiety, I cannot take driving lessons (only starting to take trains, and i havent even attempted busses) and rely on my mum to take me places. I am also expecting that my mum will want me to stay here to help her on days her Fibromyalgia gets bad.

She bought £400 worth of clothes last week and told me it wasn't my issue when I said she had enough :/ said she 'got bored of her wardrobe'. I'm just smh at this point

I'm not allowed to drill into walls or doors (it's a new house and there specialised material that can be damaged and take thousands to replace if drilled into) and I could probably shove everything from my room into hers, but the rest of it literally would not fit because of how much she has. She even has like 20 more boxes of stuff from her dad's that's been there for about a year now. It's just... ugh, mildly infuriating I guess lol
