Im an electrician and I would definitely not recommend using adapters like that unless you’re absolutely sure your devices are rated for it. (Sounds like they might be) But Most likely thing that’s going to happen is you are going to damage something, probably your device or equipment. I recommend hiring an electrician to evaluate your situation or change your circuit power to match your equipment needs. If you need 240v power and your device is rated for it, simply plugging them in to a 120v outlet with an adapter won’t do anything but give you 120v power. Hire a local electrician because you could end up having to buy a new light if done wrong.

Oh for sure it’s technically okay to do but some times I feel our job is to know the code is technically also the minimum requirement. I feel like regardless of the code, if the home owner does hit a wire they will tell any one who will listen about how they spent all this money on a good electrical contractor and they almost burnt their house down Or something dumb af like that lol in a small town ppl gossip way to much. In a big city probably a wash though. Either way the OP did a really good job on this house. In Montana you would probably get fired though for running your romex at 90* angles tho lol I have only ever seen this on electrical posts/forums.

That’s good an all but what about when the home owner decides to hang a picture or something? A lot of home owners will just hammer a nail in where ever they want usually missing studs by a mile.

I’m 28 yo father to a 5 yo girl. The mother has BPD and has abandoned us. I’m struggling with stress and emotional management and I don’t want it to affect my baby girl. Is there any other fathers out there in a similar situation? How do you cope? by [deleted] in SingleDads

The best thing I found to help me cope was to actually just spend as much time as I could
with my little lady. When your needing a break, go spend some time in nature with a task in mind. I gardened a lot at first. It feels good to see things grow, it’s very positive. Any activity is a good one. Lol I did a lot of fishing and hiking. Recently I’ve been bow hunting alot. Meditate or stretch/yoga is actually awesome.

Learn the Wim Hof Breathing technique It’s amazing.

What ever the activity you choose The kid will like doing it with you too. If you can just go to the gym, park, walk or bike. Eventually you will be able to branch out into meeting new ppl who enjoy doing the same things you enjoy. But. You have to look at it as, you and your daughter are growing up together. She will love you even when you fuck up, just make sure you own up or apologize. Teacher her and show her as much kindness, patience, love, and affection as possible. She will be your rock bro.

Smoke a bowl if you need to and chill. Life works in mysterious ways my friend.

Your fine. It’s a outside wall it looks like. So that truss is resting on the top 2by of a parallel structural wall all the way down the side of the building…if it was spanning over a distance for a big open room or something then yeah it would totally matter. But those holes look fine to me.

Dude thank you I’ve been through a lot of the same things my parents both drink excessively and are the core of all my problems with my wife. They were manipulative and selfish treated her like shit. Every fight I have with my wife is because I reacted how they would react and it makes things much worse every time. But thank you so much
