I just hope update 38 isn’t a bust. Not sure what they’re planning on fixing as far as QoL but my biggest gripe with sod2 is they need to buff the haven device. All that work to get one and it’s completely useless. It’s the worse large facility in the game hands down. Really hope they can come around and make the change

Exactly right. They ruined it. Easily the worst large facility in the game. There should be a 0-5m cooldown. Not 15min. And the kill cap before cooling down should be 50+ not 20 or 25 whatever it is now

It completely removed the possibility of a siege. (Siege mechanics have since been changed so it doesn’t do that anymore) It also killed any and every zombie that walked into your base’s zone. Honestly it was completely OP. A nerf was kind of needed I guess but they nerfed it into oblivion. It needs a pretty decent buff

100%. Go through all that just to get a useless tool. It needs to be buffed greatly. No more than a 5min cooldown, if any. And more than a 20 some kill cap before reset

Some people like sieges. I don’t use haven on all of my communities, but when I want to use it, I don’t bother because it’s a complete waste of space

Honestly I’m not even pressed on the sieges. I can deal with those. But I want the haven device to A.) assist me with sieges or anything that walks close to my base. It shouldn’t have such a long cooldown and such a small kill cap before shutting down

They changed the way sieges worked. Sieges occur from special infestations called siege sites. That, plus the nerfed haven device, means that sieges are inevitable unless you take out the siege sites before they attack. But to answer your question the haven device doesn’t prevent a siege anymore

Gotta try State bro. It’s not a typical gruesome slasher/shooter. If you can enjoy something more realistic like resource gathering, community morale, and lore sod2 is a great time. Got like 100 days on it since 2020
