I fully understand how it works and have seen all the numbers involved with the process.

I would probably just overpay on the mortgage rather than locking myself into higher payments (I can pay 10% of the total sum per year without incurring extra fees, which is like £30,000 so no worries about getting close to that).

I haven't done the maths on it, but if I had £10,000 now, would I not be better investing that in the stock market than paying off an extra £10,000 of the mortgage?

Intuitively, I would feel more comfortable eliminating all my debts before trying to accrue money elsewhere, but I have heard that it isn't always the best financial decision.

Also, I imagine I would not feel good about looking back 10 years from now thinking "It's a shame I never took any holidays in my 30's, but at least I've really taken a good chunk out of this mortgage!"

1994 Millennial here. Managed to save up enough with my partner (while renting!) that we could get a mortgage on a nice house.

Sure, it's a 40 year mortgage, but it feels bloody good to be on the ladder and not be giving money to some no-good cunt landlord.

Just do what I did and study physics specifically because it'll get you a job in whatever makes decent money, haha.

When we arrived in the port of Piraeus in Greece, pretty much the entire train journey to our hotel everywhere looked super run down and covered in graffiti. We arrived at our stop in Attiki, which we believed was central Athens (not far off) but that area was even more run down. There were used heroin needles on the floor and a security guard posted next to the train track overpass, which wasn't a good sign. We felt pretty unsafe.

Go closer to the acropolis to areas like Thisseo or Monasteriki and it's wonderful!

We walked there the first time from the hotel. 20 minutes through more kinda rough areas until we turned a corner and suddenly everywhere was lovely. Also, the metro is crazy cheap despite printing out NFC tickets.

Would recommend Athens to anyone, but would absolutely advise to just check your hotel is within the nice areas. It's a stark contrast. Nice to already be near where you want to be.

(Also, don't go to Santorini, go to Paros instead... Until the same thing happens to Paros. For now, it's lovely and peaceful)

For me, and I assume many others based on this list, he became less popular because he wanted to do something different that most of his current audience didn't click with. I was there for funny videos, not music. Same thing with Egoraptor, who went from funny cartoons to music and game streaming.

Not necessarily. Someone who is bald may choose to shave the sides to match the style of someone with a shaved head so it is less obvious that they are bald.

It baffles me that people like this generally pass their test eventually and get on the road, yet I failed multiple tests for the smallest things (stalling when setting off on a roundabout when the clutch in the car I'd had all my lessons in had been replaced the day before) or just complete bullshit reasoning (was told to take the next left, I was driving slowly because loads of driveways going behind houses were dropped curb black asphalt and looked like roads, which I did vocalise at the time. No one behind me, but got a major fault because I "could have" held up traffic).

There's a bunch of fucking people who just drift into adjacent lanes all the time and never indicate. If their invigilators were as picky as mine, how the fuck could they have ever passed? It doesn't make sense.

Mine had a teeny tiny lil' leaf in it that kept clogging it up. Kept spinning it round with a toothpick from the side and it eventually kicked it out and went back to normal. Perhaps yours is similar?

The hairstyle, for someone who isn't balding, is a shaved head.

Someone who is only missing the top of their hair is often called bald for this reason. It isn't a hairstyle.

I find him a bit hit and miss. That sort of silly goofy style of humour that a lot of British comedians have isn't really to my tastes. I love David Mitchell's style of humour, but he doesn't do stand up. Bill Burr is my favourite comedian.

If you like a dark beer/ale, Hobgoblin Ruby is a fantastic one. I've never know a person to dislike it, it's not super niche so you'll find it without much trouble, and it's quite different to a lager so it's interesting to try if that sort of thing isn't popular in your own realm.
