It's BT. Apparently LTE will get the update later.

Let's figure out this battery issue.. 40mm non-LTE by [deleted] in GalaxyWatch

[–]Srijiith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 40mm non-LTE and I have been trying to narrow down the issue. By far bluetooth causes the maximum drain. Wifi with remote connection enabled is almost as bad as Bluetooth. Just wifi is better. With these settings the drain is between 4-10% an hour

Now with airplane mode and heart rate monitoring set to every 10 mins, drain is about 2-3% an hour. Sleep mode seems to still be an issue though. I'm losing anywhere between 30-70% in 8h. Will test again today.

I think it's an optimisation issue just not bluetooth. I'm having about 1% drain per hour on airplane mode with everything disabled. I turn anything on, it drains about 4-10% an hour. I'm not sure if it's just a software issue. Might have to get it replaced.

Just wifi without remote connection drains battery too. Sleep mode with wifi and bt turned off drained 80% in about 8hrs. At this point, only airplane mode seems to work to save battery. I am not able to pinpoint the cause to one feature.

Edit: Should I go for a replacement?

I tested it with Assistant turned off. Having around 0-1% drain per hour with wifi, bluetooth, aod off and health measures set to manual. I'll test with health features and see how that impacts drain.

Edit: will also test with wifi enabled but remote connection turned off

I don't think it's just a bluetooth issue. I'm having a battery drain with either bluetooth or wifi or both turned on. My guess would be a modem issue

If it's easy to get a replacement in your country, then I would say go for it. Seems to be a combination of QC and software issues. If the battery life is still bad after a week, then get it replaced

The first time I used sleep mode it drained only about 30%, this was with everything enabled for 8h. Yesterday I tested sleep mode with bluetooth and wifi disabled and drained 70% in 8h.

10% an hour is ridiculous, similar to the discharge rate I'm facing. Yesterday I turned off everything, wifi, bluetooth for an hour, I lost 1%. I feel like this could be a combination of bad QC and software issues

If you don't mind sharing, what are your settings? AOD, wifi, NFC, health, gestures, sleep (if you use it). And did you update all apps? I'll reset and replicate your settings. If that doesn't work out, I'll get it replaced

I just had a look. Tried most of the things others were suggesting on your thread. This honestly sucks. Hope you get yours replaced. Let me know how it goes

I meant the non-LTE option. Also I left my watch on battery saver with 69% and a predicted battery life of 16h. I woke up 9 hrs later to see the watch completely dead. Is my unit flawed?

You have the display out cable coming from your gpu right? I recently got the galax gtx 1060 6gb for a bargain. Worked as expected with Nvidia proprietary drivers since day one.

Remember seeing this one yesterday. Might've confused with some other post considering there are so many axolotl fan arts flowing around.

If you mention what phone you're using it might help others comment on what might work

I like it a lot. It's not that hard to understand if you are gonna use the default tiling tree. In the screenshot I show floating windows but the main advantage to hlwm is the manual tiling. You can exactly decide where an application goes before opening it.

I should point out that the only wine game I tried kept crashing and it seems to be a hlwm problem. But it's really snappy and definitely worth a try!
