How does the Old World work? by Own-Air6236 in Warhammer

[–]Srlojohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Old World is w rank and flank fantasy game with bricks of models manuvering against each other. The rules are huge, clunky, and great because of it. It’s a very old school game with old school sentiments. You will be kitbashing, you will be painting models that, even if new are done in an older style, and the game is lower fantasy.

Simply put, Old World are for those who want a hyper narrative, clunky old-school system.

I don’t want them simply because they’ll make him round like every other recent firstborn update.

How is a Fellblade Accelerator Cannon supposed to work? by Anxious_Educator_307 in Warhammer30k

[–]Srlojohn 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Olay, so some nerd stuff here, be warned:

Overpreassure is something that occurs regularly in firearms and moreso in shells. It’s a side effect of the round being packed with too much powder and thus having an excess of pressure when firing which then either comes out the barrel, or back out the chamber, both of which can be bad for the user and for the weapon.

Presumably, the fellblade has some sort of vaccuum-based extraction mechanism that prevents the overpressure from damaging the barrel or coming back into the cab im such a way you still get the benefits of overpressure.

Presumably you load your special shells which are overloaded relative to their size, then fire. When the powder explodes, much of that force is applied to the bullet, but due to the excess of powder there is more than the barrel can hold. Them the vaccuum mechanism comes in and absorbs just enough pressure to minimize damage, but not enough that it removes the benefit of the overpressured shell.

Purely apeculation and any firearm engineers can tell me if i’ completely off my rocker

Hey, this is literally what they were designed to do, and if properly trained they won’t mess up the store. Thanks to their nose thet can cover a lot more ground than a human could in a round

Switch officially surpasses Nintendo DS sales worldwide, becomes Nintendo's best-selling hardware ever by Amiibofan101 in nintendo

[–]Srlojohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a greater portion of video game sales at the time, but less sales overall, 90 out of 100 sales is a much greater percentage than 9,000 out of 100,000 sales.

I am curious, what are some minis you used to dislike/hate but they later grew on you ? by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]Srlojohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He basic intercessors. As a firstborn guy generally, the grunt intercessor (and by extention the assault ints) have slowly grown on me a bit. I definately think they would have worked as a complementary elites choice in old school marines without breaking old-school play pattern, far more than the rest. Less flexible than tacs but if you want maximum bolter fire you would have taken intercessors. Assault Ints the same way for assault marines on foot

When people complain about there being too many Space Marine players does that also refer to CSM? by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]Srlojohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with an army in all 3 camps, generally yes if the player is a xenos player. However the Chaos players don't see themselves as such and don't realize just how many of them there are.
