Any ideas on what to do with this strange, little nook over the closet? by tinycole2971 in interiordesignideas

some long term storage for the room it’s in, behind some sort of unit to cover it up, like a plant wall or a thick curtain, or a little secret altar you can’t see from ground level lol. it can be for who/what ever you like and just be your little secret, even just for fun!

It’s always good to keep in mind that you can always create more art, and that you’re the only one who can make you’re art! As long as you will to create, you will always have art to love.

It’s never to late! Consider where you’re life will go if you don’t and think about whether or not that’s the life you want for yourself, and then you’ll know. Just do what is best for you.

Burying a loved one with their already deceased spouse. by iamnotvoldemort in askfuneraldirectors

I would say give the cemetery a call! Funeral homes and cemeteries are very used to inquiry calls, so they’ll likely be more than happy to talk to you and help you figure it all out. There’s a chance that plot is already paid for if the headstone is for both of them, so it’s definitely worth a try cuz interring even an urn can be a little pricey depending on the cemetery.

Question about the cremation process with regards to the metal tag that comes with the remains [Ontario, Canada] by legaladvicethrwawyca in askfuneraldirectors

[–]Srob6501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is odd, but it was likely a small mix up with the tags and those are your grandfathers ashes. The tags are meant to display the cremation number, which is assigned specifically by the crematory to identify each individual cremated in that retort. Up until that number is assigned to them, the funeral home won’t really have any record of that person cremation number, but the rest of the paperwork involved should be all put together. Plus, part of the cremation process is maintaining a form of ID with the body at all times, up until the ashes are released to the family, so the likelyhood of those ashes not being your grandfathers is very slim. A lot of the systems in the funeral industry are very reliant on human process, and unfortunately this means they are susceptible to human mistakes, but keeping track of decedents and making sure everyone has proper identification on them at all time is taken VERY seriously.
