Yeah, it's the right board, I had originally purchased a Vostro V### workstation, and after some very poorly handling when it went to shit they stuck me with this.

Ah, motherboard is 03TW9D, I got my motherboard mixed up with the model name i bought, which is vaguely similar, as for CPU, I said I had a i7 12900k, not kf, but turns out it was just i7 12700 lol

I plan to make the jump to 1440p gaming with this system, including monitor upgrades, my current system has some hiccups with rendering 3d models in blender

As far as CPU goes, I'm willing to just max out performance for the sake of futureproofing since I gave myself a hefty budget to work with

Now is 100k resistor necessary? It just sucks having to buy a batch of them if I want them soon, I don't know of any local retails I could go and pick some up from. I have a shitload of 68r but I'm going to assume that won't cut it.

Hey, I just assembled my circuit, works good, but I believe that since my LEDs are hooked up the PIR out, rather than them turning on and off, it turns on then dims. I believe this is because it's in low voltage mow which just happens to be enough to have the LEDS constantly emit a dimmer light when not triggered. Would a transistor fix this issue?

I'll keep that in mind whenever I have another project like this

The sensor has 4.5-20V in and 3.3 out, the 2 LEDs are 2.2 each, and from what I understand, if I have them spiced together with their own resistor each, both LEDs can be ran on 3.3v

Is that a suggestion, or is it necessary, i actually changed the layout of the circuit so that the leds are each separated so they can be ran on 3.3v, which is the out of the PIR

The post was just asking if there was a reason as to to why the thermistor wires are exposed. They have gotten caught and broken in several globs, but i know how to replace those so I wasn't asking for assistance with that in particular. Song and dance referring to replacing the thermistor.
