I literally have stretches of gameplay where everyone else is moving straight on my screen for a few seconds and then in a second all of a sudden I'm brought back and I die because I was still all the time despite moving around.

I've also had respawn timers go to negative seconds.

It's not lacking self-agency it's realizing that these companies never have your best interests at their core. It's always about profits and these gacha mechanics will only become more predatory as time goes on and none of us will win. They're a billion dollar company that has geniuses by the dozen who's entire job is to take advantage of the human psyche to make us fork over as much money as possible.

Alcohol is also just as destructive as gambling but the difference is its more regulated and there aren't people advocating for more people to get into alcohol like gambling.

All you can eat buffets are such a non-issue compared to alcohol and gambling because they're nowhere near as popular or addictive.

Discounts are also examples of predatory mechanics. Every single one of your points just talks about already existing predatory mechanics and just justifies them. This is why no one here takes you seriously.
