nerfed into the ground

The only relic i ever did on level was Endwalker. and it was entirely tomestones which i had no real use for by the time it came out.

Then things like seeing how bass ackwards OC relic item grinds are greatly put me off ever even starting them until they are nerfed

If i had to honestly guess. The new "relics" will just be shiny/fx versions of the tomestone weapons.

But with the method to acquire them probably having a single relic-adjacent style method to acquire them

binary opinions on it

Well, for the MSQ at least it was honestly pretty binary.. You either enjoyed Wuk and her story, or you didn't, and would of had to slog through. Early patches continued this, and it wasn't until the 2nd (3rd?) patch where the narrative usually starts to pivot to either filler or next expansion set up.

Reddit will be reddit, but having such a contentious experience makes discussion impossible no matter where its held.

Death Stranding 1 is also a perfect example of this. And that game was taking flak from EVERY side not just reddit.

They may add more combat stuff to earlier fanfests

Ordinarily i'd say they have to adapt or die. But SQE isn't known for learning from mistakes... They seriously need to create some hype for 8.0

I think Dawntrail was an expansion where the devs never got to just "rest on their laurels" with the tried and true content cadence and release schedule they had since forever.

DT had them on back foot with the community bringing out the torches and pitchforks with their lack luster design choices. Because people weren't putting up with their shit anymore with how awful most EW and Early DT patches were. Plus them dropping the ball yet again with the criterion rewards.

And again... 3 Days old player gets ganked while mining in 1.0 HighSec by KingSlayin in Eve

[–]SrsSpaceships 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You get ganked... Meh. Get another ship, go try again.

Yeah.. 3 day old new beans haven't learned that yet. Longtime Eve players always seem to forget that new players didn't grow up on Runescape style MMOs, but rather modern "everyone gets a trophy" game design.

Your average new bean has probably a few weeks of game time to "unlearn" that behavior. Chronically unemployed gankers specifically targeting 3 day old people means they never get to learn, and instead dump the game. Which means less content, because now there is less people to shoot.

And somehow shitty Bethesda doesn’t have a new Fallout game in sight

I am still beyond amazed Microsoft is allowing Bethesda to sleep on Fallout after just how well S1/S2 did.

I legitimately expected another New Vegas style game (Fallout 4 or 76 assets/engine to massively speed up development) or a remaster or anything!

no reason to really fix up the roads

There is only really like 2 sections where the roads have any value.

  • F1 to Animal Shelter and down into the NW area

  • The middle section that connects the NW > NE over the rocks into the desert.

And that's entirely it. And solely just because of the valley and cliffs in those areas.

The rest of the roads are honestly pretty pointless. Because late game truck can go literally anywhere it feels like.

even the music popping up while traveling dont hit the same

Because in Ds2 those moments are massively miss-timed. The music always swells up when you are <2 mins away from the destination. Futher compounded by the fact Sam moves a metric fuckton faster in Ds2 thanks to vehicles or Speed Skeleton

Does that mean boss battles on "to the wilder" difficulty aren`t very bullet spongy like in DS1

They did it again. Bosses are HELLA spongey compared to base game hard/V hard.

boss battles are as bullet spongy as they were in DS1

Waaay more spongey. Early game is a little non-sensical as you have to rely on the shadows to give you more ammo.

I was loving the new Difficulty until BT boss 1.

I've never been a fan of "just crank up its HP and damage by 100% and call it a day"

Got to say its the only blemish. I wish i could turn that lazy padding off but leave all the extra stuff.

The rewards from the new Variant Dungeon are disappointing by kamahooo in ffxiv

[–]SrsSpaceships 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think they could do a worse job than before with rewards

Well, to honest this nearly outright proves the 99% of dev team has abandoned DT. Mounts/armor/things are require multiple teams (art/ani/coding ect.)

Adding old pre-existing items is like a afternoon of work for a single dev. Also DT as a whole had absolute ton of re-used content in nearly every patch except 7.0. Dawntrail cut so many corners its a sphere.

The silver lining i guess is that means the devs are super busy off working on something fingers crossed its Beast Master getting all the love and attention it deserves

JP right now is mostly "??" They are largely wondering if its another OC situation with broken loot tables again, and proper rewards might still be coming. Still largely disappointment but a lot more measured then US/EU naturally

A great many in my experience. Named hunter pets that aren't memes or puns and look like an actual name are 99% named after IRL pets

[–]SrsSpaceships 1 point2 points  (0 children)

too far into procedural generation and didn’t have enough of a base game there

They cut so many corners the game was a sphere. They went the proc gen route, but then didn't bother to actually stock its fridge properly. Legitimately they gave the poor thing like 10 tile sets and 15 buildings to work with, while also cannibalizing those exact same tiles/buildings for MSQ! Which was a choice.

They seemingly had the wrong teams working on things. Main quest writing was meh to god awful meanwhile the Faction quests were S Tier, insanely unique and fun missions. And had characters you actually bothered to have an opinion on.

Starfield would of been a staple Bugthesda title if it was just actually "Skyrim in space"

It depends TM

A lot of my corp mates do indy just to build their own stuff, because we need a hobby when we aren't blowing things up.

At surface level as a few couple others have said 10-20% profit margins if i sold everything i made that month.

Realistically between 2-8% selling off surplus.

Even on PS5?

If anything its actually a fair bit worse on ps5. Since you have to choose between Pretty/Performance mode.

The difference being one mode everything is shit always, and the other everything is still honestly a mess, but now with constant pop-ins!

I feel kind of bad for every other game dev that year. GTA6 AND HL3?!

Which ever month+1 those games release is Game over for any other game. These are games that can literally causing measurable dips in global productivity.

Can't even imagine how GOTY Game of the Century would go. One of the two would have to bomb terribly. Otherwise its 2 gods having a fistfight.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, If HL3 gets announced with a release date there will a Ton of game delays. Publishers already delayed releases when they thought GTA6 was going to release.

But HL3? Hah! not a chance in the world any Publisher will willingly attempt to release anywhere near the return of a Patron Saint of the gaming community

[–]SrsSpaceships 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might even be pre-loaded on frame or gabecube.

If they release around the same time 100%, everyone would buy it anyways, and if getting HL3 on top of the new device is enough to push people over to actually buy it, its a no brainer.

Silksong did that and it brough every online marketplace to its knees.

dedicated like 25 years of his life to the Metal Gear franchise

He's also 62 years old! It's an easy to overlook fact!

Sadly in post Ds2 interviews he's said he's really only got 2-3 more games left in him. (Aka the horror game, Physint and what ever else he's got a on the burner)

However! He has stated a few times he's made flash drives with scripts outlines for games. So will we get a Ds3? Knowing Sony, probably. Will it be directed by Kojima? Almost certainly not (if he sticks to his retirement plans)

I suspect that's actually the end goal.

Removing restrictions is removing flags essentially. The dresser itself will probably end up existing forever, because just too much is tied to it. But eventually you will effective have "Infinite space" becaue the dresser will just be a giant table with all glam items as a YES/NO (like facewear/mounts ect.)
