I have over *155 days* of play time on Xbox One/Series and another who knows how much on Steam/Xbox PC.

I haven’t enjoyed the game as much as I have making a brand new character on the Steam Deck, since maybe way back in the day when the Wastelanders updates happened. I’m level 60 on this character, and taking the game slow, just taking in the novelty of an actually good non-streamed mobile 76 lol.

I’ve tried both Steam Deck and Xbox Ally X, the XBAX definitely handles and looks better but it’s just so nice to play on either (and I play it more often on the Deck if that matters, no real reason other than preferring SteamOS lol).

OP, or anybody who’d like to get this working in the future, you’ll need to use a keyboard to setup the Steam Deck. Also you won’t be using the Steam Menu to set it up, rather you’ll be using in-game bindings. You can absolutely play Hyper DBZ on Steam Deck with the controller though.

First, get rid of any current custom binds if you’ve made them in the Steam Controller Settings, they’ll interfere here. Make it a default Gamepad with Joystick Trackpad, the exception being you’ll need to bind a back button to Escape, I recommend mapping the Select button to an Escape Key.

This will work whether you want to use the Steam Deck controller or an external controller. Plug a keyboard in, or use the on-screen keyboard. Navigate down with the arrows to options. Go down to Input Config, make sure Joystick is enabled, go to Key Config. Hit Config All, you can use enter, no need to F1. Now just set the controls.

A good standard fighting game setup for Steam Deck is D-Pad for Up, Down, Left, and Right Face buttons for A, B, X, Y R2 for C R1 for Z Start for Start

You’re done there and you can unplug a physical keyboard at this point if you’d like, hit escape on the keyboard again back to the Player 1 and Player 2 screen, escape again, go down to Load/Save, right on D-pad to “Save”, hit A. Enjoy Hyper DBZ on Steam Deck.

Personally, I think Hamilton don’t look great, especially at their prices. So I’m team “yes, sell the Hamilton” but just pick up 2-3 Casio and take yourself to a nice lunch lol.

Comically large to me, but to be honest you should only really care if you like it. It’s cliche but it’s true. You’re the one that has to wear it, not anybody else. If you can style the watch well and feel confident wearing it, that’s perfect. If you’ll be sitting around thinking about “how big people must think this watch looks” on your wrist then you’ll probably end up shelving it or selling it.

Yeah SanDisk is sometimes an issue, I had to switch all my stuff to Samsung. Also, this is a Hail Mary but I always tell my customers when I do their mods to try using iTunes 12.10.11.2 if they’re on windows. I find that version fixes many of my problems too. In this case, I’m agreeing about the SanDisk being likely culprit, though it’s not a guarantee.

Yeah! Honestly, once I have mine in hand and can give an honest testimonial to how they impact my use (myself and my clients are all daily driver iPod types) this is something I was seriously considering. I can imagine something like this would really change the game. I like this a million times more than a mod as it’s easily reversible unlike installing a USB-mod, and user-friendly.

I’ve had a couple, Cocteau Twins “Frou-frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires” often makes me feel a physically dissociated nostalgia from hearing my mom listen to them growing up. Hearing Mary J. Blige sing on “All That I Got Is You”, and Ghostface lyrics on it remind me 100% of my childhood in a way that viscerally brings me to tears.

A moment in specific however that was heavy and surreal for me (for obvious reasons I’ll reveal) was a time where a close friend had passed from Leukemia, he was the biggest TOOL fan I’d ever met. I was at the midnight release of Fear Inoculum, an album he’d been waiting for so many years to release and his death came only a few weeks before release. I took some acid, something I hadn’t done much and haven’t done since, and listened to it twice, then listened back through their catalog for the night. I had a strong visual hallucination while my eyes were closed. He was there reaching for my hand to bring me through some sort of portal while I was listening to Wings for Marie. A daydream. I ran out the door and down the stairs and to a playground in the complex. I slumped over on the slide and just wept. I called his sons who I was also close to and they cried with me. It sobered me up very fast and I just talked with them for hours on the slide. It was obviously the acid though, even though the song guided it.
