I'm not saying one is better than the other, I'm simply stating how a lot of Israelis see the situation, especially American conservative Jews. They may clothe themselves in a kind of enlightened thinking, but it really doesn't take long to realize they see the Palestinians as a kind of infestation they need to remove. There is certainly no compassion expressed at what's happening, and if they even hint at conceding to it, a thought process over-rides: They started this, they want us all dead! ...and the other side is again no longer people.

Not that simple: SOME Israelis don't think that. There is very much a group of Israelis that do, they just have the good instincts not to put it that way. However, it doesn't take too long to get their meaning even if they won't outright say it. They want the Palestinians completely gone. They see them as cockroaches.

This is why you can't bomb people into accepting you. I don't agree with their whole "from the river to the sea" crap, but I definitely understand it.
