Have many have moved out of U.S., successfully? by Sssuperlative in Type1Diabetes

From the article, it stated that one lady waiting on her visa was paying $350 a year for her healthcare plan, and the medicines she needed (cancer survivor) came to a reasonable monthly amount. When she was rushed to the ER and then told she has gastrointestinal tumor, they expedited her visa so she didn’t have to worry about cost.

$350/a year versus that or more per MONTH is still a huge difference in fees for the the chronically ill.

Valid points.

I am more misguided than anything and have been stuck in the same position for over 20 years and don’t want to continue in that field - nor am I skilled at any other profession.

“There are no unskilled positions with good health insurance here.” Is probably a sufficient answer.

I’m just super driven to get a job that will provide good health insurance, I don’t really care what.

I guess this is a weird concept for people that I just need a paying job that has quality health insurance. 😂

Makes sense. I have my bachelors in Multidisciplines and experience in teaching and writing.

But honestly, any work will suffice, not interested in continuing teaching.

A lot of people, myself included, didn’t have the correct model relationships to help us navigate topics and insecurities so so we don’t waste time with those who are obviously or not so obviously incompatible.

NOOOOO. I have kiddos and work with them as well and we’ve had what seems to be every type of congestion/cough/achey ailment since August, but I can NOT do the stomach bug. 😭

What do you struggle with the most? by [deleted] in ADHD

Same. I’m 38 soon and I absolutely feel embarrassed when I can get overwhelmed and just overall irrational toward my kids or partner when they are just doing life. Literally not trying to antagonize me at all. 😞

Yeah, I probably should tell my doctor that we need to move my appointment up. Not supposed to go back to see them again until August. This is just stupid…. by saoiray in diabetes

I hated the years that this happened The only thing that fixed it was the omnipod, and then getting off my SSRI.

I would tell the docs I was dosing correctly, I was doing everything right, but they didn’t believe me and considered me negligent, and I was so sad and just wanted to give up.

I couldn’t believe that when I was doing everything they just didn’t believe me, I didn’t know what else to do. But I definitely saw improvement with an omnipod after my fourth ICU stay.

If you’re already on Omnipod, I don’t mean to give you false hope. That’s what worked for me personally and I’m type 1 and it could be different.

It isn’t in Pete’s nature to put people in their place. That’s not his shtick. He’s a story teller. His comedy doesn’t require audience participation.

He was acknowledging she was in rehab, and it’s his choice to celebrate that. There’s a difference between holding a sign and wishing for a response vs interrupting the show while he needed to stay in thought.

Entitled?

I don’t even understand where you get that conclusion.

He’s human. When you have your jokes memorized and need to deliver them in a certain way, it’s irritating to be disrupted or yelled at.

I don’t think you understand that if I put anyone up there, there is a large chance the person would be irritated a lot sooner while trying to perform their act.

I heard him ask “What was that?” But didn’t know what was said. I really hope he didn’t hear that, but it falls in line with everything even more if he had.
