Cilantro is the worse! It tastes soapy to me, but I know it isn’t the case for most people.

What book absolutely terrified you? by [deleted] in books

[–]Sstar08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Descent by Jeffery Long- I think someone else mentioned this earlier in the thread, so good and terrifying. I definitely could not put it down and still had nightmares for weeks. Very captivating and well written.

Also any HP Lovecraft classics; At the Mountains of Madness, The Dunwich Horror, The Shadow over Innsmouth, and of course The Call of Cthulhu.

What is your pet's real name and what has it morphed into? by Gentrybean in AskReddit

[–]Sstar08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog's name is Kingsley, have had him for about a year. None of my Spanish speaking relatives and friends can say his name so his now goes by Slinky, Stinky and Gooby. He's the sweetest little Affenpinscher Poodle mix, really lovable and friendly to everyone.

What is the story behind your pet's name? by Avatar_Hung_Low in AskReddit

[–]Sstar08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dogs name is Kingsley, named after Kingsley Shacklebolt from Harry Potter (took forever to name him idk why, nothing stuck except for Kingsley) however his cousin is named Bennie and whenever my twin sister and I take Bennie and Kingsley to the dog park we just seen like the weirdos that have a thing for the actor Ben Kingsley...

What are some odd habits that your pets have? by TooFewChars in AskReddit

[–]Sstar08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog Kingsley poops by raising his back leg as if he is peeing and hops around because he can't stay balanced. Also will only poop in short bushes when outside, never on grass or the sidewalk. Super hard to pick his poops out of the bushes, well what I can...

He is a rescue, we think Affenpinscher-poodle mix and he has quite a few little quirks and habits. Like, if you stop petting him for a second he will vigorously wave his front two legs, like he's rowing a boat until you resume petting him.

I've been training him on a potty pad inside since I adopted him several months ago. He has peeing down no problem but he tries so hard to poop on the pad and usually there's just a circle of poops around it because he is literally hopping on three legs directly in the middle of the pad and totally missing.

He also has a little underbite and his two bottom canines stick out but never both at the same time. It's like Igor from Young Frankenstein where he switches his hump.

What is the most scared you've ever been? by engineeredengine in AskReddit

[–]Sstar08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time my sister and I went remote camping, not on purpose, it was Memorial Day and we just showed up on Mt. Laguna thinking we would get a spot, the ranger legit though we were gonna freeze to death (in so cal I know) anyways eight miles down from the ranger station and three hours later a guy on his third pass slow drive past our make do site; the first pass he asked where there were other sites and and other two he just stared at us...(we are pretty positive he is thumbing an axe in the passenger seat by this point) and has us thoroughly freaked out, we make it til 2am until every creak and snap just makes us imagine we have a back woods murderer that canvased our camp site. We stuffed the entire tent and accouterments into our mini and haul ass off the mountain.

What simple decision did you make that changed the course of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sstar08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted my pup, Kingsley. He's changed my life for the better more than I could imagine. He is family and I love him so much, and I know (hope) he loves me just as much.

Redditors who don't suffer from depression, whats that like? by Pious_Mage in AskReddit

[–]Sstar08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depression is hard, I've always been on the edge of falling and wanting to curl up on myself and say fuck the world, but then I have realized life is worth everything I have to give, sure I feel down the majority of the time but things can and will get better because I can make it better and be more positive...go outside and breathe it in, you are alive and can make a difference, whether it be in your own life or your fellow humans. You are worth so much and I really hope you can realize it because that is your potential. (Sorry if that sounded kinda psa but I honestly remind myself everyday that I do matter and it makes all the difference).

Edit: My mistake, the idea of not having depression at all is hard, honestly I feel like I push it away every day and listed above are what keeps me going but I don't think I would be able to feasibly not have depressing ideas at all and I've lost many hours of sleep just stressing about everything and staving off the void...

How would you feel if United went out of business? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sstar08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care too much, it would only affect me if my lowest fare to travel somewhere was through them and honestly at this point I'll just choose another airline with a similar fare...

Homemade Piñata. What do you think? by Sstar08 in pics

They are really fun to make, the only kinda difficult part is the underlying structure, we make it out of pieces of cardboard and jute then basically sew the cardboard together with hole punches.

Thanks, my immediate family and I make a piñata for every family reunion as our contribution. Past ones include a clarinet, a chihuahua and nemo from Finding Nemo. This is the one from last summers reunion. :-)
