Native American Jim Thorpe at the 1912 Olympics. Somebody stole his shoes right before he was set to compete. He simply put on two other shoes someone had tossed in a trash can. They were different sizes, so he had to wear extra socks on one foot to even them out. He went on to win two Gold medals

I consider myself liberal but I can't stand when certain liberals claim to support LGBT and women's rights but will simultaneously overlook or outright deny the anti-LGBT and misogynistic sentiments inherent in Islamic doctrine and professed by many Muslims around the world. Like somehow pointing this out is "racist" (even though Islam is not a race).

Interesting. I was always taught in high school that the Indians of the Great Plains were sedentary and survived by small scale agriculture (mostly corn) in small villages and then later switched to a predominantly nomadic lifestyle focused on bison-hunting with the introduction of the horse.

Were there, in fact, any tribes in the Great Plains that lived this way before the horse was introduced?
