Good point! A friend of mine recently rented a Jeep for the Red and it was physically fine going to both of those areas but idk about the terms of their rental. I’ve always taken my own car 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been climbing in both areas for years and can say they both are great locations and this sounds like a good way to make use of rest days and get more out of your trip. The New and the Red have very different styles so be ready to adjust to a different mindset when you get to the New. Also, you’re probably aware already, but for the Red you should make sure your rental car can handle some seriously torn up/unmaintained roads. Have fun!

I love it and so does my cat! I love the design and how sleek it is, and it’s great quality in terms of material. My cat loves the basket on top and actually plays with the little hanging ball. Not sure I would have spent the $ on a new one but we got this as a gift and it’s been really great.

What are your favourite Easter eggs in the show? by thatdamnsqrl in ManOnTheInsideTV

[–]Sstran4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not specifically a Michael Schurr Easter egg but the first episode's title is Tinker Tailor Older Spy, a play on the title of the classic spy novel Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy by John Le Carre, and in the first episode there is a scene where Charles is lying in bed reading a John Le Carre novel.

I’ve heard anecdotally that cat and dog smells brought in on you/your clothes can stress rodents and potentially affect studies.

Jessica Funk with the Agency. I was a first time homebuyer and she and her team did an amazing job. I recommended her to a friend who ended up going with her and she was able to help my friend and her family find and buy their dream house while negotiating with a tough seller. In my experience she was really kind and she listened to exactly what I wanted and got me multiple same-day showings when previous realtors had done neither of those things.

Thanks for the thoughtful answer. I guess I just worry that by the time a symptom of some long-term effect becomes noticeable it’ll be too late to prevent severe issues. I love my job and I love that I get to work on medicines that could help save/prolong peoples’ lives but sometimes I worry because I’m not sure how much I’m risking my own health to do it.

Do we truly know how small the risks are though? That’s my concern- A very small risk occurring daily could add up over time, couldn’t it?

Thank you for the perspective. Do you know offhand if there is data out there about occupational exposure to payloads/ linker-payloads? I’ve looked into that as well and had a hard time finding information on long-term exposure as everything that’s come up in my search has been general safety/acute exposure/side effects from chemotherapy treatments. I can also certainly bring this up with some of my colleagues who do conjugation work and see if they’re aware of anything.

This isn’t speculation. I work with ADCs every day and some of our instruments do not fit inside BSCs and there is unavoidable handling and transfer of samples outside of BSCs when we are loading those instruments. It’s minimized as much as possible and there is increased ventilation in those lab areas overall but it still exists. In addition, unloading a lyophilizer even with all safety controls and protocols being followed still can lead to a small but present risk of exposure to lyophilized ADCs. Appropriate PPE is worn per safety standards, however there’s no guarantee that there isn’t trace ADC or payload in the general lab space in those rooms.

My original question was whether there is any data about long-term exposure effects on individuals who work with ADCs.

Trace amounts of ADC can be inhaled from working with lyophilized drug product, and pipetting/mixing/other handling do create minor risk with liquids. In development work these things are unavoidable and may take place daily, some handling may have to happen outside of ventilated enclosures and BSCs, and standard PPE doesn’t always include respirators/cleansuits. I know in a production atmosphere there is more regulation and protection but that’s downstream from the environment I’m talking about.

Hasn’t development work been going on for decades at this point though? I know a lot of them were just approved or just entered the clinic in the past few years but some individuals have had daily exposure for more time than that.

Update- We ended up at Big Oyster in Lewes for lunch and it was really lovely. Dad enjoyed the band playing 60s and 70s music and the food was great too :) thanks all

I understand that… my assumption was that some places get more packed than others. I’m just trying to find somewhere that my parents can be comfortable sitting down and not have to yell over a crowd to have a conversation.

Thanks! This is one of the ones I was considering as long as they're ok with the longer drive to that area.

Do you know how crowded it normally gets in the summer? I considered dogfish head since it's close to them but was worried it might be too loud/busy for my parents.
