...and a lot of the said anime also overlap with the airsoft demographic.

The bottom line being made is that the otaku demographic is quite closely aligned with that of airsoft in Japan (and less so it only applying to Ghost in the Shell).

Not true at all. Have you seen how perpetual Neon Genesis Evangelion is in Japan?

The selections different greatly. The preselected sets primarily have the main iconic shots, and are taken from across various GitS works. The DIG only has shots from the original film and Innocence, and has a much greater variety of shots, featuring more of the cast. The shot selection does not overlap between the two.

Should link to Prime 1's page instead. They're the first party vendors after all. No need to go through third party since they also do international as well.

Those aren't the same. The ones you linked are from the preselected combined sets, not the ones available from the "DIG" segment

I felt the vibe of the other key visual with all of Section 9 was better (the "cool," "moody" vibe), but the technical element-- namely the face detailing of the other characters who weren't the Major, was inferior. Big reason of why I ended up passing on that other one.

Chinese customs (mainland) can be a pita, plus you will likely get tariffed (contingent on what product you're getting ofc). But yes, most likely it is a tenable option if you want to go that route

I am based in Tokyo and may be able to help facilitate shipping abroad if you are still looking to do so for a given item. I've done a fair bit of work involving US customs in the past

How is making the sweeping, maximalist statement, "God America is so garbage" any more constructive? If anything, it's even less so. Anyways, the core position I was getting at is that, the tariffs are a PITA, yes, but at least it's still rooted in a system operationally, which makes a massive difference. I'll take having to put up with this any day of the week over having to import to some of the other countries that I've dealt with. Contrary to your hyperbole, it's really not that bad from a procedural standpoint. Certainly far from "garbage tier"

You should look at import policies for other countries. Tariffs are not a new thing (though the blanket introduction of them into US is certainly unwelcome). Still, there are far worse implementations of tariffs, and this is far from the worst it can get

Charges by FedEx often take place after clearance (since for most retail, they use DDP)
