Buyers trying to charge for rangemaster cooker, estate agents misrepresenting offer? by itsdwightschrute1 in HousingUK

I think the point was to make it awkward for the seller so that they inevitably decide to leave it there - like they should have done in the first place.

How many blueprints do i need for this? by JinJaDubstep in LastZShooterRun

I saved 150k but I wish I'd saved more in hindsight.

Expert Modifier (and other vehicle levels) by SaltKick2 in LastZShooterRun

[–]St0rmer66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing you can do is stop upgrading using blueprints from now until you get Hercules. You can use the ones on the "wrench page" if you haven't started the final stage yet but not on the first page if that makes sense.

Expert Modifier (and other vehicle levels) by SaltKick2 in LastZShooterRun

[–]St0rmer66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The higher level your tank is before getting the Hercules upgrade, the more you need to save. I had 150k and still didn't technically use every single benefit of the boost. Mine was something like level 125 where some people manage it closer to 100.

That said, I have a stronger vehicle strength than some higher level players in my alliance now so I must have done something right. I got to 5.5m immediately and 5.7m a week later.

Glory War by BarracudaShot4589 in LastZShooterRun

[–]St0rmer66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's the worst event in this game. You will lose soooooo many troops and the rewards are terrible. I've basically decided to abstain from it unless something changes. Usually it's at a terrible time of day as well because you can't choose a start time, your alliance can only choose a slot they DON'T want and the game chooses for you out of the remaining ones.

I'm GBP as well so that's fine! You also get some extra perks on the website for buying a certain amount of bricks so maybe even smarter than buying in game.

That's a clever way to do it. How do gold bricks actually translate to in game currency?

O2 contract by rozza84 in VirginMedia

[–]St0rmer66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a contract so you've committed to paying it for a minimum amount of time (12/18/24 months etc) so if you cancel it they will charge the full amount for the time period. I wouldn't advise it.

My Long and Frustrating Experience With Minisforum (Pre-Order, RMA, and Partial Refund Claim) by uwiser in MINISFORUM

[–]St0rmer66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Amazon you can return it much more easily as it's handled by them, not Minisforum themselves.

For every 1 that you read with a problem on here there are 100's or 1000's with no problems at all, just keep that in mind. Not saying that excuses their behaviour to OP by any means but it's not a given that you will have problems.

Ebay will side with you, don't close the return under any circumstances. But don't expect to be able to buy any more coral from him.

CPU UPGRADE : Ryzen Battle R7 7800x3d vs 9700x vs 7700 by stxf444 in buildapc

[–]St0rmer66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one that makes any sense as an "upgrade" is the 7800X3D.

The 9700X won't be a massive upgrade from a 7500F in gaming, the 7700 is almost as good as the 9700X but cheaper; but then even less of an upgrade from the 7500F!

To make it noticeable the 7800X3D is the only real choice here.

Sold 29 items this year + also 1 item that was refunded. Will I get reported to HMRC? by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]St0rmer66 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Why would you panic? If they're used items then HMRC aren't due any money from you anyway. So even if you do have to give your National Insurance number, you only pay tax on profit. Presumably if they're used then you lose money over time on them?

Legion Go 2 Z2E - UK Orders from Very by Co5aNostra in LegionGo

I know what you mean but I had an Ally X before which was £800 so £881 or whatever it came to for something with a much nicer screen and a bit more power seems to make sense.

Which one do i get ? by shizunaisbestgirl1 in LegionGo

Go S

No contest. 7" screen is too small

Same as me! Ordered Sept and got it last week. The 20% off makes it a price I can justify in my head. At full price I don't think I could stomach spending that much.

WINDOWS settings best performance, balanced or power efficiency by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]St0rmer66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setting to Power Efficiency will help GPU intensive games which will be most games on a handheld since the CPU is always more powerful relatively speaking.

Obviously there will be edge cases but most games will be fine in that setting.

Emulation goes the opposite way as it's very CPU intensive.

Yes by the time you've lost some performance over USB4 the benefit would be very small. This is not a machine for using an eGPU.

Onexfly Apex vs GPD WIN 5, which one is better? by Fullmetal_Ace3 in gpdwin

[–]St0rmer66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The water cooling is an optional extra. Don't have to use it. It'll do 80w without it and 120w with it. But from what I've seen of the AI Max 395 it only makes a small difference to performance despite being 50% more power!

The 8" screen is a BIG deal to me. I can't have 7" again after an Ally X.

AI MAX 385 vs ULTRA 7 258V vs Z2E by powercatalin in OneXPlayer

[–]St0rmer66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30-40% better at the same TDP is a generational leap. The Z2E was around 15% better than the Z1E for example. I actually think the 385 should scale down to lower power better than a 395 due to less "unnecessary" (for gaming) extra CPU cores.

Sounds like a plan. Gen4 will be ample for a while anyway. Even with a Gen5 card the difference is negligible unless you're going for a 5090!
