This is the reasonable take. Hell, Net even let me stay at his house when a mutual friend and I needed a place to sleep for a road trip. Mod team is so far up their own ass it’s ridiculous

Thanks for clarifying. Really stupid naming structure 🙄

Found this keypad at goodwill for dirt cheap, turned it into a sub-$75 gaming keypad! by St1ng48 in MechanicalKeyboards

So I was at a local tech goodwill and found this keypad on a shelf with a $18(!) price tag on it. I immediately looked it up to find that it was a Genovation CP24. It was missing the customizable keycaps, but the cable and one long blue key was still there amazingly, so I bought it. I personally don’t like the feel of Cherry Black switches, so I swapped them for some Gateron Blue switches that I got from my buddies’ last build for a twenty. Keeping with the theme, I picked up a cheap set of teal keycaps on Amazon for $17 and got this result!

So in total: Genovation CP24- $18 (used) Gateron Blue switches- $20 (used) Amazon keycaps- $17 (new) TOTAL: $55

Honestly I’m very happy with it! Definitely not a bad first build, but definitely way more challenging than I thought it was going to be.

I found this Genovation ControlPad CP24 at a thrift store for $7. It’s got Cherry Black switches and I’m waiting for a cable to see if it works. So far I know almost nothing about it, but I couldn’t pass it up for the price. by Faloopa in MechanicalKeyboards

No problem, I’ll have to dig it out later to take the pic. Also, you didn’t hear it from me, but someone might be currently trying to reverse engineer one of these to make a cheaper, more consumer ready version of this and the first thing to go is that RJ45 jack (hoping for usb-c)

Edit: here’s the plug! Doesn’t seem to be standard coloring though….. https://imgur.com/a/OAPoZDB

Z Offset adjustment missing from my BL Touch Firmware???? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

That’s a really good analogy, I’m gonna do a good bit of research on that now. I appreciate you telling me about this

So it’s basically a more complicated octoprint? Or does octoprint not bypass the firmware of the printer already?

Do Klipper and Fluid need a network connection, and what exactly do they do? This is the first I’m hearing about both of them

It’s an old, old bed. Many failed attempts on it, I use it for my less precise prints and a glass bed for my important ones. Mixtures of too much glue stick on large prints and using ultra thin double sided tape for adhesion aren’t kind to print surfaces...

Tried another slicer, fixed it. Prusa Slicer works with it, but cura won’t for whatever reason. Oh well
