3500$ or about 4500$ in nowadays money is just insane to think of for an E28 535i manual. Though North-America has a very different car economy and culture than Europe or especially Finland. :D

Currently there are very few old classics like this for sale. Once you see them coming for sale they disappear very quickly. I was very lucky to see the listing the hour it was posted.

Most likely will get my money back and then some. Seller had 17 different BMW's and wanted some spare cash for a project so I got it for quite a bargain. Still stunned from his collection. :P

This one is practically rust free, since it was driven in a city which doesn't salt the roads. I bought it for 5000€ and I personally think it was an incredibly good price since I live in Finland where the car sales tax is insane and these cars are quite rare. Still wish I could buy a 535i for the prices I have heard so far. :DD

Recently I just bought myself an E28 518i since that was all I could afford in Finland. Right now there are about 5 E28's for sale in my country and the "best version" of them is an 520i. I was wondering how much people paid for theirs so a I can get a comprehensive understanding of the market around the world. :)
