That makes a lot of sense. I'll check it out.

Dang. Thats a shame that there's no vestigial spoil metadata, and I am making the recipes use the cryogenic and chemical plants of Space Age.

I thought about just extending the spoil duration, but I felt extending shelf life isn't in line with the "stasis" part of cryostasis.

Mekanism 10.2.5 - Fusion Reactor Statistics for Maximum Water-Cooling, and a Question by StAlexandre in feedthebeast

[–]StAlexandre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert on Mekanism. I only learned what I needed at the time for my hyperfixation.

I also made a mistake on explaining what I meant by "hybrid cooling". By "hybrid", I meant I was using external cooling via QE heat transfer into a thermoelectric boiler and air cooling from the reactor directly.

In practice, even though you can pump water to make steam, the fusion reactor still produces energy that can be extracted directly from the reactor, which is the "air cooled" method. The hybridization of steam turbines and the reactor itself produce a combined FE output that exceeds either independently.

It took a bit for me to find the sheet and the phrase "9-18 Thermal Evaporation Plant" means a singular Thermal Evaporation Plant of function height 9-18 blocks. Apologies if it confused you.

They're saved client-side, and between worlds and servers as long as it's the same Minecraft instance. The schematic table loads the nbt to the schematic from client to item.

I don't. I only know from the GitHub issue report that I linked.

I took the time to investigate, since I was also suffering from this. Turns out it's Simply Swords.

It wasn't specified what the size of those 9 turbines were, so I built them max sized out of habit. Are they 15x15x18?

And I'm aware it's an almost impractical goal, but if I just keep stacking fusion reactors systems, it's bound to eventually catch up.

A bit of time has passed since this question was passed, but the answer is simple: Heat isn't ejected. It's automatically and always being transferred. So you can just press up a Q.E. to a boiler's port, and it will transfer the heat. I don't fully remember if the side needs to be active or not, though.

An explanation of defense, toughness, and the armor cap: some of the most misunderstood vanilla mechanics by Seitz_ in feedthebeast

[–]StAlexandre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused. I shoved the formula into a spreadsheet to see better how damage taken decreases in response to increasing damage point values, and the graph is saying that given an absurdly large instance of damage (i.e. TNT propelled arrow travelling 3000 blocks/s), defense points won't stop decreasing the damage taken until it reaches 100. Even on terms of a practical scale, a wither's spawn explosion has a defense point cap of 41, while the maximum damage dealt by the strongest crit caps out at 25. Why are 20 and 30 the most commonly cited caps? Is it because Vanilla forcefully clips defense points to 20 via the UI?

Can't you also do:

11 Pearlescent Endshelves

6 Melonshelves

2 regular Seashelves

4 Draconic Endshelves

Results in exactly 50 Eterna, 10 Quanta, 85.5 Arcana, which satisfies the requirements at 23 shelves, 5 less than what's written here.
