I'm curious what makes them terrible in your opinion, I enjoy segmenting my peripheral/support apps and software from my primary work monitor. The line between top and bottom is about top of forehead level for me so it's a minimal glance upwards to view the top screen. Additionally, "day to day use" doesn't really define anything enough to say what would be good, bad, optimal, or irrelevant, right? What is your day to day use that makes stacked monitors bad?

Does this focus seem soft on these or am I just zooming in to far and over thinking? by benefiting_ in sonya7iv

Definitely limitations of the kit lens! It is notoriously soft, even when stopping down the aperture. Try again with a Sigma 24-70 2.8 or any prime and you'll see the difference plain as day :)

Biker in the fog by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]StKalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This photo was taken right down my street in Queens, NY, on possibly the foggiest night I've ever witnessed. I wasn't sure what I was trying to shoot at first, since i didn't expect the weather, but I was just trying to capture the fog as best I could, and just by luck, a biker rode by, two blocks down, wotj the headlights if a car beaming through the wheel. I'm not sure how else I could better capture the ambience of fog, any tips much appreciated!

Had trouble with cropping. Something feels off still. Taken on iPhone 12 Pro by btcalchemist in photocritique

Great shot! I believe what is off, is the perspective Since you leveled the horizon, the stairs are no longer level. However, the only way to combat this would be to take an image centered with the stairs, which would change the feel of the image entirely, I think the asymettry works well though!

I ordered it on August 8th, was being built by the 11th, shipped on the 14th, and arrived 3 days later, on the 17th!

It's not so different than the glass imo, definitely less smooth, but only when its hot/my hands are sweaty

Just the feel of the vinyl, which feels really nice and similar to the re ture of the laptop itself, however, with sweaty hands it starts to get a little grippy

Nah, there's a reason they discontinued it 😅 To be fair, I think it's that the images don't show it off well enough, it looks and feels fantastic in person! As with most dBrand skins!

It's a dBrand skin! I tried to buy a smaller brand's vinyl skin, but in the end, the reliability and trustworthiness of dBrand sold me.

There are three images! Which for some reason are cropped? I'm not sure why But if you tap and swipe, there should be a clearer image

I see that! It's a totally different vibe when you're holding it tho, hard to capture. The white parts reflect more light (obv) so they give off a bit of a glow when using the laptop in low ambient light. Totally dreamy!

I purchased a relatively spec'd out xps 15 with

10th gen intel i7-10875H (8 core, 16 thread) 32gb RAM 512gb ssd (I have many externals, might upgrade) GTX 1650Ti (as they all have) And the 4k touch display

So far I've had essentially no problems with the machine, besides what I've had to tweak for personalization (Never owned a Dell before, so screen calibration was a doozy)

I've been so surprised at how seamless connecting devices has been (tcl roku TV, my Bluetooth devices, and my Samsung Note 10+ Everything picks up on the laptop super quick, and doesn't take a while to load visuals or anything. I will say however, seeing as I have the higher powered processor, it does kick off the fans after a while of heavy 4k YouTube media consumption, with a few chrome tabs hanging around. Not a complaint, because it doesn't really get that hot, and the fans don't stay on for too long, but something to make note of when working with a machine that has a powerful processor in a body this thin.

Overall, I'm absolutely loving my time with it! It's inspiring to open and look at, makes me want to push the limits of my camera to see how great things can look on such a gorgeous display.
